📌 Save this one (my personal micro-resolutions list):

1) Handwrite everything - slow your thoughts down, think more, explore more.
2) Doing only one thing at a time. Multi-tasking 100% of the time is fatiguing your mind.
3) Do not disturb on for 95% of your day. Heal your dopamine receptors.
4) Read fiction at night to wind down.
5) Go for a walk without listening to anything.
6) Declutter your digital space
7) Do a value audit (time, money & attention)

Comment “AUDIT” and I’ll send you mine 💌

8) Trim your hair (many traditions believe we hold energy, memories and even emotions in our hair)
9) Water & breakfast BEFORE coffee
10) Morning pages (stream of consciousness writing) before scrolling
11) Change your environment (new coffee shop, different walking route, solo staycation)
12) Get a silk pillowcase (literally couldn’t live without mine)
13) Stretch for 10 minutes daily (All the flexibility I have is thanks to small, consistent sessions of stretching)
14) Protein with every meal
15) Meditate, 7 minutes, visualise what you want to call into your life
16) Every time you look at yourself in the mirror say - “oh hey, there you are! So good to see you. I love you” like you would a friend.
17) Fortnightly, take yourself out on an artist date.
18) Create a “personal directive.” Document who you’re becoming - your values, your aesthetic, your non-negotiables.
19) Say no faster.
20) Start a side quest. Something outside your comfort zone.
didn’t drink the complementary wine (this time) but did, in fact, eat all of the empanadas 🤌🏽

Excerpts from my journal
an exploration of thoughts & feelings

doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll be trading the nomad life anytime soon - but, something I’ve been contemplating as of late.

zero structure or flow, an abrupt ending & honestly I was struggling a little to read my own handwriting 😅 raw, real, honest

#journalentry
Barcelona feels like,
coming out from winter hibernation &
spring boarding my thought explorations with friends..

there’s nothing quite like an international trip to cue the epiphanies

💌 I wrote and published a substack essay last night from my hotel room, exploring a few realisations I’ve come to: on saying no, energy dilution and the shiny objects we mistake for purpose (link in bio)

More to come over the next few weeks
I feel a huge identity shift coming on (I heard there was something going on with the stars??)

Barca ✨❤️‍🔥💌 Highlights:

2-4) Oh so good to see my girls again
It is both a blessing and a curse to love people who you’ve met travelling. To love them (90% of the time) from across the oceans.

5-6) This apartment vibe and view 🥹🥹 to own an apartment in the centre of a European city.. may just be, my life dream
📍

7-8) Been treating myself to pancake/ waffle styled sweet + salty breakfast (which is my favourite EVER but I rarely have them)

9) Headed straight to my favourite thrift store chain here in Barcelona - Humana (iykyk)

10-11) Visiting different yoga / fitness studios in the city (honestly my favourite activity 🤣) using ofc, so I can visit multiple wherever I am (!!) there’s a link in my bio for the best free trial they offer 🤝🏽

12-17) Random bits & pieces xx
I used to live in this city and wish for more time to write. My work schedule didn’t allow for it. Writing had to be squeezed in around everything else

I used to daydream about being holed up in cafés, on terraces, in the Spanish sun, writing.

And then, suddenly, it happened.

I woke up one day back in Barcelona, and now I spend most of my days doing exactly what I used to wish for: writing.

I said to a friend today that Barcelona might be the chillest “big city” there is.

There’s a softness beneath the rush. A gentleness that asks you to stay present. Winter light cutting through the trees. Panot stones underfoot.

Writing keeps me here.
It lets me retell what’s been lived, hold a moment still.
Travel keeps me open, atuned to the smallest shifts.

Barcelona does both 💌

📍
6 ways to become unrecognisable this year 🤝🏽 The kind of shifts that hit you on a soul level, a mental level, a physical level, and everything in between. They all fuel each other.

And this year, my misogi is Mt Kilimanjaro. (where failure is genuinely possible 😅) but thats the point.

If you want to join me in March, the link’s in my bio. Spots are limited and I’d love to have you there 🥾

we murder ourselves by sacrificing the present for the past. each time we revisit it, is a moment lost to the present.

I read this (paraphrasing) in Ocean Vuong’s new novel last night and, it’s the kind of line that stays with you.

yet, to write one must go back there
perhaps that is the very death of a writer.

the slow murder of one’s self.

sacrificing the present for a
handwritten past or the dreams of an alternate world unwritten.

It’s the sacrifice we make,
to die for a dance with the muse

to create instead from our scars
and not from our open wounds

we must look back
into the night and squint

even though, we all know —
this is how you damage your eyesight
What’s strange is how people talk about “the real world” like it’s this fixed thing we’re all supposed to return to.

I’ve been hearing it for two years, about my nomad life being somehow “not real”. Then I land in a kung fu school where training becomes your entire existence, and suddenly even my world feels distant.

In reflection, I’ve realised: the “real world” is just whatever someone decided feels normal to them.

Me travelling 90% of the time, living without a permanent base and working remote, feels real to me.

Someone else’s 9-to-5 feels real to them.

The fisherman in Vietnam working before dawn.. that’s his real world.

The investment banker in New York pulling all-nighters, that’s theirs.

We’re all just living in bubbles we’ve convinced ourselves are the only way to exist.

Maybe the most real thing is admitting there’s no single way to do this. That life is unserious enough to let you disappear into rural China if that’s what calls to you. That normal is whatever you decide it is.

The “real world” is whatever world you build 🤝🏽

Going through old journal entries and sharing them #confessionsofanomad 💛

it makes sense not to feel like you belong in a city that was never yours to begin with.
But your hometown?
You feel like you should belong there.
But what if you don’t?
I think for some of us…
that’s what sparks the desire to travel.
Not to escape.
But to search.
To search for a place where the not-belonging makes sense.
Where the disconnect isn’t jarring, it’s expected.
A country that doesn’t speak your language.
A town of 10,000 people halfway across the world.
A city that snows when your body knows only the sun.
And yet somehow…
You feel more at home there
than the place where your name is known.
Because some of us aren’t searching for a place we belong
we’re searching for the place
where not belonging feels right.
And often, we find it.

Waking up early. Pushing through soreness. Showing up even when I didn’t feel like it. Choosing structure when my default has always been freedom.

Because sometimes the most liberating thing is following through with what you said you’d do 🤝🏽✨🥋🥊
