I had the opportunity to design a modular illustration system for TalkTalk - creating a world of diverse, expressive characters.

Fun fact: I studied in Edinburgh, Scotland - and during my first year at uni, I had a part-time job at a door-to-door sales and marketing company.
And guess what I was selling? TalkTalk internet! 😄
So it really feels like I’ve come full circle - from making a couple hundred bucks a month (oh yeah… it was commission-based 😅) to now creating a full-scale illustration system for the same company.
And yes - I totally mentioned this story to the TalkTalk team during the pitch. Pretty sure that’s what sealed the deal haha
The goal was to give their team an illustration toolkit: ready-made heads, hands, legs, outfits and props that they can mix & match to build new characters and entire scenes in-house.
Over the course of two months, I created countless interchangeable parts and character poses, and did extensive testing to make sure the modular system worked seamlessly. It was a huge project (the full scope and details are hard to fit into one post - but I’ll be putting together a Behance page soon!).
Loved every bit of it - and I’m ready for another challenge like this! 💪✨
