Day one of Sony Kando 2026 in Bavaria.
Yesterday we spent the day in the woods shooting mountain biking - long exposures, between 1/6 and 1/15 of a second, all hand-held. It's an approach where most of the frames don't make it, but the ones that do tend to carry something a fast shutter can't quite reach β the feeling of motion itself.
What I enjoyed most was watching the other photographers around me approach the same scene in completely different ways. That's always the interesting part of events like this β same trail, same riders, but every camera ends up telling a different story.
Thank you to Sony for the invitation, and to the riders for their patience through all the runs. Just getting started.
