I recently got myself the gradient PC light strip behind my monitor and it’s one of those small changes that completely shifts how my space feels. 👀
I’ve been craving a soft ambient glow back there, especially on those dark, gloomy days when my desk feels a little too dark and heavy. Being able to customize the lighting straight from my phone and switch up the vibe depending on my mood honestly makes such a difference.
Now I’m already dreaming about slowly switching out the light bulbs to the hue bulbs around my space so everything can live in one app… maybe even syncing it all one day for movies or late-night Netflix sessions. A full light show moment feels inevitable at this point.
It really doesn’t hurt to have more lighting in your space. It makes everything feel warmer, cozier, and more intentional, like a place you actually want to sit in and create.

The first store I visited was in Nakameguro, and I instantly fell in love with the space. The vintage, lived-in feeling made me want to slow down and look at everything… Which, in hindsight, was a little dangerous. After that, I knew I had to visit the other two locations as well.
Each store felt like a treasure chest of things I’d never be able to find back home in Canada.
I originally went in with one simple intention: to find a small leather notebook to collect stamps throughout the trip, something compact enough to fit in my already very full bag.
Instead, I ended up spending at least an hour in each store, flipping through paper, charms, and tiny details I didn’t know I needed.
The funny thing is… I don’t even journal. But this year, I’d really like to start. And if there’s one way to motivate myself, it’s probably by surrounding myself with stationery that makes the process feel special.
My favourite pieces are the little charms I added to my notebook, small details, but they somehow made the whole thing feel complete ✨

Now I finally have a space that fits seamlessly into my daily routines.
I used to have a small corner on my dresser dedicated to matcha, more of a display than a functional setup. No running kettle, no proper storage, just a place to admire it.
After coming back from Japan, I brought home alot of tea and matcha powders… and suddenly that little corner wasn’t enough. Everything ended up lined against the wall, and my dresser quickly turned into a mess.
So, to solve the problem (even though it wasn’t the most budget-friendly decision right after a trip), I finally created the matcha corner I’d been wanting for so long. I always imagined having a dedicated space, but never had the motivation to bring it to life, until now.
I also wanted a place to properly display my teacups. They feel like little pieces of art to me, and they fit the aesthetic perfectly.

This film simulation reflects how I see the world: calm, clear, and intentional. Excited to see life as it is, but capturing it in a softer, quieter mood, like looking back on a memory I don’t want to forget.

Learning to take those moments lightly is where real growth happens. That’s how we evolve into stronger, kinder, and more grounded versions of ourselves.

In my hectic life filled with people who are negative, doubt me or try to dim my light, I’ve always tried to stay optimistic and keep going. Life’s been busy, but I’m really glad I was able to complete this video.
I’m happy I filmed soo many little snippets, and was able to incorporate them all into one video. I wanted a mini clip vlog to look back on one day and remember how this trip felt day by day: the quiet walks, the city lights, the in-between moments.
Clips were in the order of how my trip went, I had more moments but stuck with the more aesthetic looking clips 😅
I still have plenty of videos and posts to create for specific locations and activities, but those will come another time (and on my other accounts).
