As Wellbeing Fortnight in Primary comes to a close, BST was proud to see older students leading the way.
Wellbeing Ambassadors hosted morning meetings with younger students as well as an assembly exploring empathy, alongside a singing assembly that brought everyone together.
Alongside this, students have been sharing thoughtful entries for the Primary ‘Take Notice’ themed Photography Competition!
In Secondary, the Wellbeing Week prior saw tutor groups connect over breakfast and enjoy some light-hearted karaoke with classmates and teachers, creating space to relax, connect and have fun.
Whilst these moments spotlight wellbeing, they also reflect the ongoing shared commitment to supporting one another, every day at BST.

Across the trip, students took part in a range of activities including art, sports and team-building games, encouraging them to work together, try new things and build independence beyond the classroom. It was also a chance to bunk with friends and share simple moments like meals together, making the experience all the more special.
A wonderful experience filled with growth, confidence and plenty of smiles!

Yesterday, families, staff and students came together to celebrate Graduation Day and this important milestone in our students’ journey.
For students, it marks the end of an era at BST and the beginning of an exciting new chapter beyond school.
For staff, it is a proud full-circle moment, having watched these young people grow, develop and thrive over the years.
For parents, it is a day filled with immense pride, reflection and emotion.
As Year 13 students now begin study leave in preparation for their final examinations, we wish every success in the weeks ahead.
Step forward with courage, curiosity and purpose - your journey is only just beginning.

A collection of Japanese books, carefully selected from recommended reading lists by local libraries, is now available for our young learners to enjoy together.
Funded by the #BSTAnnualFund, these books will help nurture language, curiosity and a love of reading in both English and Japanese from an early age.

As part of BST UWS Maths Week from Monday 11th May, students will take on 'The One Challenge' - working together to answer one million maths questions in just one week.
Every question answered = ¥1, turning effort and learning into real impact.
Funds raised will contribute to BST’s ongoing fundraising efforts to help build a third partner school in Nepal, helping provide children with access to quality education and the opportunity to shape their futures.
BST families are encouraged to get involved, whether by cheering on, joining in at home, or supporting through donations. Keep an eye on internal communications for details on how to take part in the challenge.

The creativity was impressive. The outfits were occasionally unexpected. But most importantly, the week was filled with smiles, connection, and moments of lightness at a time that can often feel pressured and emotional.
As students prepare for study leave and their next chapter, opportunities like this to pause, celebrate friendship, and enjoy being together play an important role in supporting wellbeing for both students and staff.
We now look ahead to Graduation on Wednesday 6th at 4pm in the Green Hall - a chance to celebrate everything this cohort has achieved and the community they have built along the way.

A selection of artwork from Nursery through to Year 6 is on display, showcasing work created in Art lessons and clubs, including painting, drawing, collage, 3D work and a particularly special process - screen printing.
Armed with sketchbooks, Y6 students stepped outside the school building and into nature, and observed leaves and flowers to create still-life drawings. Back in the art room, these sketches became screen designs as they refined shapes, cut stencils, chose colours and printed their final pieces.
Artscape is a wonderful opportunity for BST students to share their ideas, learn from other young artists, and celebrate creativity together.

Out of thousands of students in British international schools worldwide, these two have been recognised for their incredible leadership and heart.
✨ Magnus founded the Sakura Group, raising over ¥235k in 2025 alone for War Child, and even launched a politics podcast to give young people a voice on global issues.
✨ Sophia founded our Key Club and served as a United World Schools ambassador, helping to raise ¥350k for a partner school in Nepal through her creative fundraising initiatives.
We are so proud of the initiative, compassion, and dedication they show every day. True examples of what it means to lead with kindness! 👏✨
