I moved to NYC December 2021. I saw my first Broadway show, (MJ THE MUSICAL) Jan 2022. MJ soon became my first Broadway audition (Jan 2022), became my first Broadway rejection (March 2022) which eventually became my first Broadway contract (Oct 2022), my Broadway debut as Jermaine Jackson (Jan 2023). Later blessed with my first touring contract (June 2023). Which led me to step into my first Broadway principal role, playing Michael jackson (Aug 2023). After leaving MJ (Sept 2024), I returned (Jan 2025) more grounded and prepared with my first standby/swing contract. Which led me to closing of The First National Tour. I share all of this to say, MJ has allowed me to live a long list of dreams in one opportunity. Even some things I didn’t yet dream about. MJ taught me more than excellence through fatigue, work ethic and consistency… It taught me the importance of discipline and communication. I walked in with a smile and contract but walking away with wisdom and confidence. I’m blessed to have achieved my biggest dreams and still have the permission to dream more. MJ brought me financial freedom, community, people skills and challenges beyond measure. But The lessons I NEEDED in order for me to step into the man God is calling me to be. Wouldn’t trade it for the world. From 22 years of age to now being 26 years old… I grew up in this shit man! Thank you for raising me, for being my BFA/university, challenging me, not giving up on me and loving me at every stage for the past 4+ years. They say you never realized what you had until it’s gone. And as this chapter closes, it’s true! I never understood the true magnitude of being apart of MJs legacy. I know now, THAT was my family! Thank you from the deepest part of my heart.
