I’ve been experimenting with a Grasshopper 3D workflow that takes a geometric pattern such as a mandala or Voronoi diagram and introduces a gradual displacement along the Z-axis. The closed curves are elevated according to their relationship to an interactive control point: elements closest to the point remain lower, while those further away rise progressively in height. The resulting vertices are then connected, creating a continuous chain of varying elevations that gives the pattern a dynamic, flowing quality.
This project is still very much an exploration. What initially appeared to be a simple transformation has revealed itself to be a surprisingly complex design challenge. The process has pushed me to investigate how parametric relationships, geometry, and spatial transitions can be integrated into a cohesive system. More than anything, it has been an exercise in experimentation
