📍San Carlo, multiple locations✨ *invite|AD

I’ve wanted to visit San Carlo for YEARS, so I was really excited to finally go a couple of weeks ago - and it definitely lived up to the hype🍝

Starters:
🥑 Avocado Bernardo - avocado with prawns, scampi & lobster, served with Marie Rose sauce
🥩 Tartare di Manzo - beef tartare with mustard dressing

Mains:
🍝 Lasagne Emiliane - fresh layers of pasta with slow-cooked bolognese, béchamel, mozzarella & Grana Padano
🦞 Ravioli all’Astice - lobster & crab ravioli in a light creamy pink peppercorn sauce with baby prawns

Desserts:
🍰 Classic baked vanilla cheesecake
🔥 Traditional crème brûlée

Everything was genuinely 10/10, so delicious and fresh and the service was amazing from start to finish. Such a lovely spot for a celebration dinner🤍

Thank you and 🫶

🍕 - a true Bristol staple. Grab a takeaway pizza and enjoy it on College Green in the sunshine☀️

🍷 - perfect for a 1:1 catch up or small group wine night. Visited with this week and we were blown away… already planning a return🍄‍🟫

🥩 - ideal for waterside dinner & drinks after work. The onglet steak from the new menu was unreal💦 Myself and thoroughly enjoyed!

🍝 - date night sorted. Pasta, cocktails, wine… what more do you need?🥂

🥙 - the go-to affordable lunch stop when you want something quick, filling & healthy🥗 and I loved their new sides too!

🍱 - one of my favourite Park Street pit stops during a shopping day🛍️

🍷 - worth heading out of the centre for. Such a gorgeous little Italian spot in St Werburghs🍝

🎯 - the perfect group night out spot. Book an oche, grab some cocktails & make a night of it🍸

🍦 - your sunny day ice cream stop-off😎

🍸 - ideal for waterfront cocktails that somehow always turn into “just one more…”😆

Come with Russ to in Bristol!!🏏 INVITE|AD

A couple of months ago ourselves and took a trip to and had such a fun evening!!🤭

If you aren’t aware of they are making cricket much more exciting ahaha - using high-tech batting cages and the option to play a variety of different fast-paced interactive games this was a really nice way to spend time with friends. AND it’s something a little different too!!🫡

In terms of scran we ordered:

🍔 - Buttermilk Chicken Burger and Chips
🍗 - Sweet BBQ Boneless Chicken Strips and Chips

The food was definitely a level up from your usual activity spot scran that’s for sure!! The chicken burger was 100% the crowd favourite and we thought the chips were lovely and crispy too🤤

We would definitely recommend this for family gatherings, work socials, date night, or just a get together with some friends💖

Thank you so much, and for inviting us along with you🥹

📍Wingstop🍗🍟

Ever wondered what £100 of might look like?🤣

We pretty much tried every flavour - from Lemon Pepper to Mango Habanero, Louisiana Rub to Hickory Smoked BBQ🔥🤤

And every flavour dip under the sun too - Honey Mustard, Classic Ranch, Blue Cheese🧀

Safe to say the table went silent once the food landed 😂

A serious feast… couldn’t even fit it all in one pic and we all went home with lunch for the next day!👀🍗

📍Eat a Pitta, St Nicks, Bristol🥙 *invite|AD

Looking for a reasonably priced healthy lunch or the ultimate hangover cure? has you covered. Absolute legends of the Bristol food scene, they’ve been serving up fresh falafel for 15 years across multiple spots in the city!🫡🥙

They’ve currently got two amazing deals on:
✨ £11.99 Special
Get a classic pitta or box, any side and any drink🧆
✨ £6 Value Meal
Small falafel box, pitta and any drink - such a bargain!💸
(Available after 2pm, Mon–Fri, for the next couple of weeks only)

and I both went for the £11.99 deal and got classic boxes, signature waffle fries, halloumi fries, plus drinks🍟🥤

First time trying the waffle and halloumi fries and they were SO good🤤

If you want fresh, healthy, delicious food that doesn’t break the bank, this is your spot🙌

📍Eat a Pitta - Multiple locations in Bristol (St. Nick’s Market, Broadmead, Clifton, Gloucester Road)

is well and truly one of my lunch staples — this time and I went together to use a £25 voucher so instead of getting my usual classic falafel box (£8.29) we each got one of the meal deal. For £11.99 you get a classic box or pitta, a side and a drink which I think it’s great value. Our spread in the sun included:

Falafel boxes (went with the tahini sauce, my fav)
Halloumi fries with chilli dip 🧀
Waffle fries with tzatziki dip 🍟
lemonade (and another drink)

Their falafel boxes are PACKED and really filling anyways so this felt truly like a feast! Loved the halloumi fries which were so crispy and went really well with the chilli dip. Their falafel are crispy and fluffy as usual. All the salad and grains are really well dressed and seasoned, which makes it feel like a complete dish rather than just some random salad thrown in with the falafel. I personally like going for the boxes because I feel that you get more bang for your buck and you can keep anything that you can’t finish. If you work near one of their branches, this is your call to get falafel for your next work lunch 👀

**DISCLAIMER: This visit was Ruby’s AD/invite, which included a £25 voucher, but I am not obliged to post and have not been invited by the restaurant. Some snippets in the carousel are from my previous visits and I am a genuine happy customer who just wanted to give a local restaurant some support. Just to avoid any ambiguity and adhere to ASA guidelines.

💰 Total: around £8-10pp

📍The Royal Oak, Leighterton🥂 *invite|AD

We were kindly invited to to celebrate Bill’s birthday - a beautiful traditional Cotswold pub just 30 minutes from Bristol, perfect for special occasions, date nights or cosy countryside dinners🤍

We started with the Popcorn KFP to nibble on alongside our drinks before dinner🥂

✨ Starters
🐷 Pressed pork belly, black pudding, artichoke purée & pickled apple
🐚 Scallops with cauliflower & roe purée, roasted cauliflower & tempura scallop roe - scallops are Bill’s favourite so he was very happy to see these on the menu!

✨ Mains
🦌 Locally sourced venison steak with crispy polenta, wild garlic chimichurri, braised venison & roasted cherry tomatoes
🐖 Pork tenderloin with mussel & cider cream jus, roasted baby fennel, shallot & rainbow chard
The venison and pork were both top quality, soooo juicy😋

✨ Sides
🍟 Chunky chips - 10/10, it’s hard to find proper good chunky chips these days!
🥔 Crispy potato skins with wild garlic chimichurri & cured egg yolk - the only thing I wasn’t fully sold on as they were a little overdone for me!

✨ Desserts
🍫 Dark chocolate mousse with blood orange segments & blood orange sorbet
🍮 Sticky toffee pudding with muscat poached pear, toffee sauce & pear sorbet
The sorbets were absolutely incredible - all made in house!😯

Such a gorgeous setting with amazing food and lovely service. Bill had the best birthday🥂✨
📍Fat Dads The Full Moon, Bristol🍔 *invite|AD

Is this the BEST smash burger in Bristol?👀

Honestly… I think it might be😮‍💨

🍔 The Dirty Blue (special)
2x smash patties, American cheese, Devon blue, smoked streaky bacon, pickles, pickled onion, rocket & blue cheese mayo - unreal combo💥
🍟 Dirty fries
Loaded with nacho cheese, sriracha mayo, candied jalapeños & onions🍟

Hey lovely people!👋

I’ve tripled my following since my last intro (WILD😅) so it’s time for a little reintroduction and life update for all my new faces!🫶✨

I’m Ruby🧚‍♀️ a 22 year old, Bristol born and bred girly🎀

I finished AAT Level 4 last year (woo!) and I’m now studying for the ACA on my journey to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant🎓💼 6 exams down, 8 to go💪

I left my job as an Accounts Associate at the end of last year and have since started a new role in Audit full time. It was originally meant to be a mix of Accounts and Audit, but I quickly realised Audit was way more my thing📊👩‍💼

When I’m not in the depths of revision, you’ll find me eating, drinking or dancing🤣💃

I love a concert, rave or anything with a stage and sound system🎶 Highlights so far this year are LSTD and Good Times Live - and I cannot wait for Forwards this weekend!🕺🌈

Forever grateful for the support, the love and all the incredible people I’ve met through Bristolfoodfinds. Meeting so many of you at events has been the absolute best part 🥹❤️
