2. Everyone gets a full change of clothes in the carry-on… because airplanes = blowouts.
3. Buy a special treat after security and use it as leverage the entire travel day.
4. Do not overpack the diaper bag — if I can’t find things fast, it’s already a problem.
5. Keep one small pouch of just essentials (diaper, wipes, snack) there is nothing worse than hunched over, sweating, digging mid-flight.
6. Snacks. Come. Everywhere. I am not risking it.
7. Board with low expectations… and hope for one calm stretch.
8. Screen time is unlimited on travel days. Respectfully, I do not care.
9. Do a diaper change right before boarding — even if they “don’t really need it.”
10. If we make it there and we still say we’d do it again… that’s a successful travel day in my books.

Pool, beach, bed, stroller…Half of my checked luggage was snacks to keep them occupied all week.
3. If everyone is happy and no one is melting down…
I don’t care what the plan was — we’re staying right there until things change.
4. Screen time on vacation?
Survival with a view.
5. If I’m laying in bed scrolling…with a baby attached to me like a koala and another one sleeping next to me…that is my version of getting to relax on vacation.
6. We will say yes to the cute family dinner…
and also be fully prepared to order, eat, chug a glass of wine and leave in 18 minutes.
7. Sometimes the lower the expectations, the more enjoyment for everyone
8. I don’t need perfectly behaved kids in public
I just need there not to be a full meltdown at the swim-up bar.
9.Nap time is non-negotiable. As annoying as it is to drag 3 sandy kids up from the beach, missed naps = everyone suffers later.
10.Some moments are core memories…some moments are just… “we survived the outing.” Both count.
