The Big Dipper grabbed my eye, after all whatโs not to love about a gravy dip!

This really hit the mark, a good sized burger with a great bun with lovely crisp red onion and brisket! Dipping it just brought it to another level. ๐คค

Paired with some โFlying Fagin Friesโ with their slightly sweet pickled chillies ๐ถ๏ธ and Korean BBQ sauce these were lush!

Iโve been to a different Branch of Chuck & Blade before and wasnโt particularly impressed but today was massively improved! Itโs a big menu so looking forward to going back for more ๐

As you'd expect from the guys at Chuckaburger (shout out to Alfie btw the truck griddle king, flawlessly delivering main man Richards burger vision) the flavours are perfectly balanced.

I had never heard of Jersey Style Pork Roll, I liken it to a kind of Spam on crack, it's great! The real elevator in this burg is the small chunks of pickled apple and Christmas spiced red cabbage that come though.

You know Chuckaburger are doing it right when your 7 year old describes their burgers as 'having so much flavour than other burgers' ๐๐ผ

This years NBD creation was a doozy:
Two 100% Grass-fed beef mustard brushed patties, Pork belly pastrami, Butter toasted brioche bun, Emmental cheese, Nashua sauce, Caramelised onions, Mustard infused pickles & Cholula hot sauce drizzle!
A perfectly balanced (messy) burger. Big shout goes out to their sauces, all homemade, all next level!

Finally after years of waiting got to try famous National Burger Award Winning Top Dog Burger! ๐๐

But seeing as I wasnโt going to get the chance again any time soon I also tried a couple of others! ๐ณ

Excuse the photo quality as the lighting was shite in there and I was too eager to tuck in.

Highlight was definitely the Top Dog, that Mayo banged with flavour as did the meat. You can see why it impressed the judges! ๐

Unfortunately by the time Iโd finished the Top Dog the Black Dogs bottom bun had soaked up all the fat and grease so wasnโt the best texture to eat. Next time Iโll order one at a time. Would have been a great, if not very rich burger otherwise.

Double Smash was also banging but the Top Dog Mayo had already won me over.

Smashed patties are the name of the game here and with a location on Portland Road (Hove) and on the Brighton seafront (just east of West St) you donโt have to go far to get your Primal fix ๐๐ผ

I went for the Drunken Bore, which consisted of Beef Patty (added an extra patty of course) French Brie, Bourbon Infused Bacon Jam and a Dill Pickle.

4 perfectly simple ingredients, delivering serious flavour bangs. The bacon jam combining with the pickle is delicious and the Brie is such a nice change ๐ง

Crispy burger edges and a decent bun and this is a perfectly balanced burger. I look forward to trying more from their menu ๐คค

Brighton (well Hove technically) finally has a decent steak restaurant in the form of ๐ฅฉ

Although I did get to try their fabulous steak tartar (Iโm so gonna be checking out the other meaty goodness on show at some point) I was really there to try out the Wagyu Burger ๐

Different from any burger Iโve had in a while, mainly due to the patty being made up of chunks of meat feather than minced. Might not be to everyoneโs taste but it certain had plenty of flavour despite the relatively low fat content (no messy eating here) ๐คค
.
Throw in some truffle covered triple cooked chips and some banging sauces and this was a tasty feast.

Itโs quite punchy at ยฃ18 for just the burger but you are paying for quality ingredients.

I canโt wait to go back and try some of their dry aged hanging meats.

has finally opened its first proper restaurant, thankfully itโs in B-Town!

I enjoyed it so much Iโve been twice this bank holiday already and have made my way through the majority of the burger menu.

The Pastrami Burger was a particular fave and complete flavour bomb. I went halves on this with a mate along with a Sweet Burger (caramelised onions giving it its โsweetโ name) which really lived up to its name.

Second time round I went for a Classic with an extra patty and bacon ๐ฅ and also checked out some wings ๐ and a side of Mac & Cheese ๐ง

Doubling up gives you a BIG burger for all the greedy folk out there. The bacon, whilst pretty standard made for a tasty burger (their house mayo is ๐๐ผ).

The Mac & Cheese was delicious and a perfect portion size and the wings were juicy and perfectly charred served with a sauce to die for and a sharp pickled onion garnish.

Big props to their burger buns, so often a bug bare of mine but these were some of the best buns Iโve tried.

I really enjoyed this, great service, great food, great drinks (the one cocktail on the menu is a perfect accompaniment). Bank holiday food sorted!

Finally nipped into at the Holiday Inn for some smashed patty goodness!

Incredible crust on the smashed patties, flavoursome burgers too, particularly the truffle cheeseburger.

These were a clean eat, would have liked a bit more meat juice dripping out. All in all a solid burger and defo worth a look.

I would defo eat in though, heard mixed reviews on deliveries, but then burgers rarely travel well.

Itโs not often you try a burger thatโs like nothing youโve tried before on your burger munching journey. But this this Smashed Kimchi Burger by did just that.

With a layer of Nori (seaweed), sweet spring onions and delicious Kimchi with a spiced mayo this is up there with the best smashed burgers Iโve tried and such a different taste.

The perfectly steamed top bun topped this off perfectly. The only minor negative was the bottom bun was a bit cold in comparison and would have been nicer at room temp but I got there early so may have recently come out of the fridge. Other than that I wish Iโd ordered a double but this was my 3rd burger in two hours and I didnโt want to be a pig or anythingโฆ ๐

Alas what we got was a stupid looking burger (I mean look at that cheese pelmet) that was dry as a mother f**ker. I mean so dry. Barely any sauce and because the cheese pelmet was a chewy disc, no nice gooey cheese melting into what little sauce there was.

Then to rub salt into your dry wound you get the bill. This bang average burger cost over ยฃ30! (With fries).

I does make me wonder if Gordon himself has actually even tried a Street Burger before putting his name to it.
