This year, I watched the film Morvern Callar by Lynne Ramsay and it quickly became one of my favorites! All of Ramsay’s films have a way of depicting nuanced situations of trauma through an optimistic lens, offering a refreshing take on finding the lust for life amongst tragedy. Each coaster is an illustration study of a scene from Morvern Callar. I find so many moments in the film compositionally beautiful with corpse-like pastels and intimate closeups. Also, the soundtrack is incredible 🎵
