Elijah has softened me. He reminds me of my husband, my dad and myself all at the same time. He is our best parts. Affectionate, brilliant, charming, observant and kind.
He has taught me the importance of quality time, how to be present and rest. It has been essential to learn how to slow down in order to shift out of survival mode.
I gained quiet strength, discipline and discernment while pregnant with him. I was not surprised by his intelligence when he came earth side, I felt it.
I learned from him that love is unearned but given. He is VERY loving. Some of you have experienced a hug from Elijah, it changes (heals) you.😭 He is a feeler and senses the emotions of others.
It will be an adjustment, but I know he will be the best big brother! He is already an amazing little human. I’m so grateful to be his mom.🤍

Knowing God’s word and yet accepting there is more beyond your understanding.
Being compassionate and validating but open to rebuke and correction when you’re off course.
Knowing the war is NOT with flesh and blood yet managing your feelings when you’re offended.
Knowing that God has always used flawed people to be and do GREAT things.
Learning to disagree respectfully and co-exist with others different than you because…we are called to love our neighbors.
Knowing that practical knowledge and research is necessary but it does not supersede God’s will or power.
Just because it is labeled “Christian” or “church” does not mean it reflects the heart of Christ.
Understanding that God is revealing character flaws and spiritual affliction in who you praise with your attention, money and time.
Needing institutions & voting but not trusting our countries operations and systems.
And I could go on but the point is understood.
How you integrate information in this hour is critical. Be hardened by everything you see? Or find refuge in Lord and be actionable in serving, loving and growing. Stop wasting time on petty things. He wants your heart and is removing distraction. It’s all out of our control anyway.
God is in the nuance and the big picture.

we are DAUGHTERS of God.
Instead of debating with God about my capacity, I’m leaning in to relaunch what was started in 2020. It was 35 of us, new to motherhood and trying to figure it out during COVID. Many bonds were formed, life changing connections were made and improved mental health outcomes.
This time, it’s different. We are navigating much more and learning how to accept God love for us as well as his will for our lives.
My prayer is that presence, support and purpose is fostered. ❤️This isn’t my group, this is God’s.
