After about 8 months, called me and asked if I had a soldering iron… that was first day I came on the team and served by fixing some mic cables. Around that time, TBCO had just purchased some digico sd8’s. I had a vague introduction to digico before, but didn’t know much. After a few months of mixing monitors and learning FOH from legends like & - I started mixing team nights, which led to a future that I never would have been able to dream up. Since then, I’ve had the honor of being on staff (twice), had opportunities to tour around the world with some of my best friends, make records with some amazing people, and I’ve watched God take the small things I’ve learned in mixing, to help hundreds of volunteers and church leaders through online courses and coaching.
Today, I have no idea what’s to come, but I do know that the last 9 nine years of my life, although imperfect at times, is a complete testimony to staying open handed and not being forceful with a dream. Waiting and trying to stay sharp when nobody is watching is really hard work sometimes, but I never want to stop learning.
I’m forever grateful for the impartation and investment from so many people in my life.
