This course was no joke, so I’m especially thankful for equipment I can trust. The and setup handled everything perfectly.

Grateful doesn’t even cover it—just being healthy enough to race again means everything. There were moments in this stretch where I genuinely thought my career might be over. Not sharing that for sympathy, just as a reminder to myself of how far things have come.
No expectations. No idea where the fitness is. Plenty of work ahead—but that’s always part of it.
At the end of the day, it’s a bike race. And that’s something I know how to do.
Let’s get to it.
What that means for me right now is optimizing for playing the game. Not necessarily winning the game. The win is getting to continue playing the game.
Don’t get me wrong—there’s plenty of hard work and big goals ahead. But for now, I’m choosing to enjoy being back on my bike as I systematically work my way toward a high level again.
