What did I bring for Thanksgiving?

My appetite

My job on Thanksgiving is simple: I eat. My role is to make sure nobody feels bad about their dish, so I personally take on the responsibility of trying everything. It’s for the greater good.

To prepare for that level of commitment, I train by burning as many calories as possible so I can go to war with every plate on the table. All jokes obviously
 but also not really.

Something I learned at the beginning of my journey

The truth about why most people don’t see results

It’s not your genetics. It’s not your program.
You’re just stopping at mental failure, not muscle failure.

Your mind gives up way before your body ever does.
If you want to grow, you have to train past the discomfort.
Push through the reps your brain wants to quit on — that’s where the results start.

Eating 2,500 Calorie A Day

This is what I typically eat in a day when I’m maintaining my usual weight. I eat anywhere from 2,400 to 3,000 calories, depending on whether it’s a rest day and what I have coming up like workouts, travel, or vacations.

If you want help figuring out how much you should be eating to gain, lose, or maintain your physique, shoot me a DM!

Why I Don't Post Workout Routine Videos

Your workout routine shouldn’t be changing all the time. The key to real progress is sticking with the right amount of volume and intensity, and giving your body time to adapt. When you repeat the same exercises, you’re not just doing them, you’re getting better at them, lifting more, and building real strength.

If you’re constantly switching things up, you’re just spending more time learning movements instead of progressing in them.

My Body Throughout the Year

My body changes a lot throughout the year depending on what I have planned. Most of the time, when I’m not prepping for anything, I like to stay around 170–175 lbs. But if I plan to compete, I’ll bulk up to around 180 to focus on gaining more mass, then cut all the way down to 152–160.

I’m able to manipulate how my body looks pretty easily because I understand what actually causes fat gain or loss, how to build muscle, and what it really takes to shape your body to match your goals.

If you want to learn how to do it for yourself, hit me up!

Whats Better Machine or Free Weights?

Machines are great for isolating specific muscles, safer for beginners, and perfect when you want to go to failure without a spotter. They're ideal if you’re new to the gym, coming back from an injury, or want to target a muscle without tiring out the rest of your body.

Free weights activate more muscles overall, give you better control over range of motion, and are more functional for real-life movements. They’re great for building total strength and size, and offer tons of variety to fit your body and goals.

This was tough
 😂

This is from my second bodybuilding competion from August 24th.

Here are some of the “firsts” I experienced prepping for and competing in my first natural bodybuilding show:

1. Shaving my entire body – Let’s just say, I don’t recommend it.
2. Wearing an XS speedo.
3. Getting a full-body spray tan – I wore just one sock
and it wasn’t on my feet.
4. Eating salads as full meals – Something I never did before, but would recommend!
5. Getting professional photos taken.
6. Reaching 6% body fat – I don’t recommend it unless you’re competing.
7. Taking a polygraph test.

Some of these experiences were great, others not so much, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

The athletes and coaches I’ve met, and the support from friends and family made the whole journey unforgettable.

While I don’t plan on competing again anytime soon (it demands total commitment, and building muscle and leaning out as a natural athlete is a long process), I have nothing but respect for the athletes who stepped on stage with me and for anyone who competes in general.

This post is a bit overdue, but I’ve been busy eating and actually enjoying life again! 😂
