For Aryssa Harris (LAW’26, GRS’26), this includes blending her experience and education as a dual JD/PhD student and editor in chief of Having now graduated from #BULaw, Harris will clerk for an associate justice on the Massachusetts Appeals Court while she finishes her dissertation.
“Massachusetts has such a rich history of pushing the law forward at the appellate level. I’m really excited to see what goes into that,” she says.

Justice Sotomayor addressed BU Law students directly, encouraging them to be excited about becoming lawyers and sharing that she believes law is the best profession: "Why? Because we are the only profession of all that has as one of its ethical obligations to serve the poor without charge." She continued, "Lawyers do the work of those who can't speak for themselves."
