A few more days here & back to my warm home which I’ve been craving!!! & back to cooking! 🧑‍🍳
Facial cupping has been a game changer in my self-care/skincare routine! 🧖🏽‍♀️

I decided to go fully natural (I have done baby botox maybe twice in the past years) but I just love all the naturals tools that are out there like face cupping to bring back circulation, glow, reduce puffiness and fine lines and it honestly just feels so good to take a moment for yourself.

My routine is usually face cupping around 3-4 times a week. I usually do it in the evening as I am a dedicated morning gua sha girl (every single day no exceptions and have been for years!).

I’m no expert but this is what I do! For my nighttime routine, I’ll start by double cleansing with seabuckthorn best skin ever or everybody loves the sunshine and face wash. Then I will spritz my face with rose water (I swear by this step!), use the eye serum and eye serum. Next, I’ll lather the rose glow serum by and finish off with a layer of either best skin ever or everybody loves the sunshine. Then, I’ll use the facial cupping! I’ll open the lymph nodes around my neck and collarbone, and will work gently with the cup from my upper face (nose to cheek) around 5 times, mid face to mid cheek 5 times and chin to outer face 5 times. I’ll repeat on the other side. Then I’ll do maybe 3 strokes from between my eyebrows up to my forehead and after I will work my way to each sides of my forehead. I finish off with the little cup for the eyes! I’ll glide it 5 times on each eye from inner to outer under eye and also like to do 3 times little suction and release on each under eye. Last, I go over the nasolabial folds 5 times.

This all takes about 10-15 minutes and I really enjoy this little moment for myself!

If you’re looking for a beautiful cupping set, I couldn’t recommend enough 🤍🤍 + loving the copper dry brush as well!

Foods I could stomach in the first trimester

Bread and butter - carbs + fats for quick energy, fiber (I opted for sourdough and grassfed for optimal nutrients) 🥖 🧈

Eggs - protein, choline rich, so good for baby’s brain development 🍳

Fruits / melon - hydrating and mineral rich 🍉🫐 I found I liked fruits that were sour like lemon, lime, blackberries, grapefruit (these can help with nausea)

Coconut water - hydrating and full of electrolytes 🥥

Avocado - healthy fats and filling 🥑

Coconut yogurt - probiotics, healthy fats

In the end, eat what feels good for you. First trimester is not about what you eat, your baby is taking from your reserve.

My midwife also gave me this trick of smelling food before eating it! If it smelled good, I would eat it. If it smelled off, I wouldn’t. Our bodies are telling us what is good for us and trying to prevent us from eating certain foods! I found that so cool.

So listen to your body!! You know best. 🤍 what foods worked for you in the first trimester?

#firsttrimester #pregnancy #nausea
First trimester - survival mode 🤣

What helped me 🤍

Eating hydrating foods like melon, cucumber etc everyday because even drinking water was nasty. So grateful to have access to fresh coconut water because I could drink that with almost no problem (shoutout to nimfa’s cocos for the freshest ones in Puerto). 🥥 🍉 🍈

Drinking cold drinks! I am a warm water/tea drinker 1000% but you have to listen to your body with pregnancy and cold felt good. Iced water with lemon or lime and salt did the trick! It helped a little bit with nausea as well. 🍋‍🟩 🧂

Bread and butter - as simple as that! In the first trimester, your body uses your reserves for the baby so it’s not super important what you eat. You eat what you can and everything will be fine 🤍 I definitely lost weight (and muscle) during first trimester but am gaining it back now slowly!

Eggs - eggs saved me for some protein (even though I don’t believe in counting protein) and it helped me have more filling meals.

I honestly was never hungry but would try to eat fruits or coconut yogourt every few hours.

Having a stash of kettle potato chips and crackers also helped when I was waiting for food to arrive. Nausea can hit you in one second 😅

Rest!! I was sleeping so much and napping on top for a few hours every day. 😴

Getting some fresh air was also needed even though I would go to the beach and just lie there. It felt good for mental health 🌞 🌊

Having support and chatting with friends/family is key. You don’t have to feel isolated and alone (even though it feels that way at times)

It’s part of the journey for some but so worth it! Watch until the end for the ultrasound 🥹🤍 It does get better!! #pregnancy #firsttrimester
Bump update 🤰🏽🤰🏽🤰🏽 plus a dusty mirror 🪞I have a new found appreciation for my body and all that it’s working for 🤍 finally having a bump makes all the nausea and food aversions worth it 🥹 #pregnant #bumpupdate
A good day of eats in Mexico City 🤍 save this for your next trip here! 💕

for breakfast (of course)

for the green juice and snacks I needed (I love to bring fruits with me on the plane because I’m not about the airplane snacks or food)

for matcha! 🍵 didn’t disappoint

for my favourite salad ever

healthy cakes of my dream & juice with special people 🤍
Enjoy being in the process of becoming. Enjoy being in the process of becoming. Enjoy being in the process of becoming… 🤍 you’re doing great, keep going 🫶🏼
What I ate on vacation for a bloat-free day 🤍 focus is on hydration, eating in a calm state, no drinks with food to help digestion & loads of movement (mostly walks & swimming)

Water with lime and sea salt for hydration first thing in the morning! I brought this in a reusable water bottle. 🍋‍🟩

Breakfast
-fruit first for detoxification and hydration
-chilaquiles & banana pancakes
Then coffee with soy milk (coffee or matcha always after having food!)

Water but I wait around an hour to make sure I don’t dilute digestive juices!!

Lunch
-torta de papa, rice & salad 🥗

Ginger tea in the afternoon 🫚 I only drink warm or room temperature water. This has been a staple and has helped me so much with bloating in the past.

In TCM, warm water supports the Spleen and Stomach, making digestion smoother and reducing bloating. Cold water weakens digestion and creates stagnation, while warm water keeps Qi flowing, preserves energy, and gently boosts vitality.

Dinner
-guacamole 🥑
-sourdough pizza 🍕

Dessert
-vegan snickers & 100% cacao 🤎

5 Reasons to Start Dry Brushing ✨
As a holistic health + nutrition coach, this is one of my favorite daily rituals!

1️⃣ Stimulates your lymphatic system (hello detox support 💧)
2️⃣ Boosts circulation + energy flow ⚡️
3️⃣ Gently exfoliates for glowing, smooth skin 🌸
4️⃣ Supports nervous system regulation + relaxation 🧘‍♀️
5️⃣ Encourages your body’s natural detox + renewal ✨

Try it before your shower in the morning — just a few minutes make a difference!

How to Dry Brush in 3 Steps

1️⃣ Start with a natural bristle brush on dry skin before showering.
2️⃣ Use gentle, upward strokes — always brushing toward your heart.
* Start with Feet → legs → stomach → arms → chest.

3️⃣ Finish with a shower + a little oil or moisturizer for silky smooth skin. 🌸

Just thought it was time to reintroduce myself 🤍

Hi! I’m Alixe and I’m originally from Canada but am currently based in Mexico City. I am obssessed with sunshine + warm weather, markets, fresh food, cooking, yoga, pilates, movement, meditation, bio-hacking, natural skincare, nature, the ocean, film photography, growth/self-development and all things holistic health.

I have a background in nursing and worked in hospitals for 6 years. The pandemic really made me realize what was important for me and that was to work with clients while taking into consideration all aspects of their health.

After getting my health coaching certification from, my main focus is now helping women improve their nutrition and mindset through 1:1 coaching while looking at health through a holistic lens.

Health isn’t a linear journey. I started having digestion and gut issues at the end of highschool and these have stuck with me for years. I can’t say that these are 100% gone but I am equiped with more tools, I am able to listen to my body and its signals and be more in tune with it!

I am passionate about helping my clients achieve holistic balance (whatever this may mean to them) leading to significant improvements in their mental, physical and spiritual well-being.

If anyone is struggling, looking for guidance or accountability to reach their health goals, send me a DM or check out my website linked in bio ❤️‍🔥
