The best thing about this porridge bread? It is DELICIOUS! And the kids will Love it too, a great way of getting them to eat porridge ๐๐ป The ingredients are simple but work so well together making the best of Irish comfort food.
INGREDIENTS:
Large tub (500ml) Organic Low fat natural yogurt
360g - (fill the yogurt tub twice) porridge oats
1 tsp bread soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 beaten egg
Squeeze of Honey or maple syrup
Topping: Optional but recommend for extra fibre & nutrition sunflower, pumpkin, chia Seward and goji berries ๐
Preheat oven to 180ยฐC
Add you 500g tub to a bowl
Next add in your porridge oats by filling the yogurt tub twice.
Add bread soda
Crack the egg into a separate bowl and beat until fluffy.
Add the egg in along with the salt & honey.
Line a bread tin parchment paper or and add ingredients in.
I sprinkled the top with Sunflower, pumpkin, chia seeds & goji berries or Sprinkle with some extra ground porridge oats
Cook for approx 50 mins, do the knife or skewer test (it must come out clean for the bread to be cooked inside).
Remove from the oven and leave to cool.
