I feel like every year I start this post with "how the heck did that happen!?" I mean, we all know how that happened, but every year it always feels like such a surprise.
This year feels a bit different. I've been saying I'm 44 for the last couple of months, I leaned into it a lot sooner than usual and wasn't really afraid of that number (ask me in 365 days how I feel about the next number though 🤣).
My heart feels full. I spent the last 10 days with some of the ones that I love the most and many things were put into perspective. Growing older is nothing to fear, but embrace. Every year I grow older, I watch those around me that I love grow older wiser, smarter. It's a privilege and joy to grow older (maybe wiser and smarter?) as well.
Today was a beautiful day. Quiet, reflective and full of love (and a beautiful cake!) It was exactly what I needed to end this weary year and start a fresh new one. It's kind of a weird feeling to literally start a new year of my life on the last day of a year. I've never really thought about it too hard before but this year that kind of sunk in. I know I have a lot of soul seeking to do in the next few weeks, but for now, I'm just going to bask in the love (and eat cake)

It's been a very trying year for small businesses around the world. The last 4 months have been especially difficult due to tariffs, full steam introduction of ai, algorithm changes and the ever changing economy.
Sometimes as business owners we need to step back and really look at what we have accomplished over the year, especially when at times things feel like they are getting tough, to see the forest for the trees.
I started to look at the numbers and realized it was a really great year despite all of the challenges that were out of my control.
To every single bride and client that ordered one of my handcrafted veils, accessories or jewelry this season, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You allow me to keep doing what I love every single day.

This wedding season has been a busy one and I've just been working away nonstop in my studio for the past few months. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their wedding veils, jewelry and accessories, I've been so grateful for all of your orders, inspirations and hearing your love stories.
I did get a chance to step back a bit and travel to gorgeous Newfoundland with my SIL last month and up to Muskoka with the family a couple of weeks back, so it hasn't been allll work.
I've been working on a few projects in the background as well that I'm so excited to share (in due time), including one with my industry twin (and friend) Daniela from. We are working on a pretty fun collaboration, it's been months in the making and I hope I'm not hyping it up too much, but we are pretty stoked! What could an accessory designer and a stationer be creating together? You'll just have to wait and see!
To all of the other industry pros, I hope your season continues to be fantastic and I'll see you all for dinner and hangouts in November!?
