In 2017, Peanut was rescued at 2 months old when her mom was shot. We rescued Gracie at the same time as Peanut. We didn’t know it at that time but Gracie was pregnant with Clover 🍀 We lost Gracie in 2022 💔
We don’t know what happened to the dad but the farm closed down so we fear the worse for him.

Glyphosate is one of the most commonly used herbicides, with organic pulses (like fava) being one of the crops most likely to be contaminated
Because of this, this certification is so important to us - it goes to show how amazing our fava bean farmers are, taking the extra care to ensure that our fava beans are not only good for the planet, but also good for you!
We are so proud to be able say that our regenerative fava beans are certified glyphosate free 💚

One of our favorite pulses are fava beans! The key ingredient in our Soy-Free Tofu - did you know fava beans are one of the most regenerative crops?! 🌾🫛
Other pulses include peas, lentils, beans, and chickpeas!
Since 1987 we’ve been pouring our hearts into creating delicious, simple, and real food - food we’re proud to serve our own families! Now, winning two export awards, we can’t help but reflect on how far this journey has taken us
Huge thank you to BIV for running this and helping to put a spotlight on local businesses; and to honourable Diana Gibson, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation for giving some inspiring and empowering speeches!
