Dopo tre anni incredibili, è arrivato per me il tempo di salutare questa squadra. Non solo un gruppo di compagni, siamo stati una vera FAMIGLIA. Abbiamo condiviso momenti indimenticabili: le gioie di una vittoria all’ultimo secondo, i silenzi dopo una sconfitta pesante, le docce negli spogliatoi, le urla nei time-out, le battute stupide tra una serie di vasche e l’altra.
A ognuno di voi voglio dire grazie. Per la dedizione, per le risate, per il supporto nei momenti difficili. Anche quando sembrava impossibile andare avanti, bastava un allenamento con voi per ritrovare la motivazione. Mi mancheranno i vostri volti, le nostre routine, le sfide il lunedì sera, lo schiaccia 5 prima di palestra e vi dico la verità, persino quelle maledette doppie che ci facevano maledire l’esistenza… ma che poi, puntualmente, ci facevano sentire vivi.
Pensate ad ogni sguardo prima di entrare in acqua, ogni urlo dalla panchina, ogni scherzo negli spogliatoi, tutto questo, ha costruito non solo un giocatore migliore, ma soprattutto una persona diversa, più forte.
Non so cosa mi aspetta adesso, ma so cosa lascio: una parte importante di me.
Un pensiero speciale va alla società, che sono sicuro abbia sempre creduto in noi, e ai tifosi che erano lì, in costume (mentale), a sostenerci. Siete stati la nostra forza’
