What could be better?
The annual Tulip Celebration in Lewes beach in Delaware is running from April 1–20, featuring over 31,000 tulips and 5,000 spring bulbs planted throughout the town.
The event features walking tours, a tulip sale, and artistic displays, with peak blooms happening now 🌷💕
Park for free at the lot on Second Street and visit some of the 20 locations you can find on the map at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, or just wander around town like we did 👟

The area near the Shofuso Japanese House is where to find them. Cherry blossoms and magnolias are still blooming but on their way out. Lots of other spring blooms still going strong 🌷

🎡 The Capital Wheel is a 180 foot ride that soars over the Potomac River that offers views of Washington DC and the Washington Monument from the top.

🎰 The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center is a beautiful building, with a huge glass paneled vestibule, food court and shopping area. Not far away is MGM, a huge casino with restaurants, a luxury hotel, theater, and conservatory with art exhibitions.
🎨 Tons of food, shopping, and art. My fave was the Awakening statue, by J Seward Johnson Jr, a series of sculptures made to look like a man climbing out of the earth.
🚲 E-bikes cost a little over a dollar per ride or can be rented all day for about $10. You’ll find them all over. Or, take a water taxi to Alexandria or DC. It takes about 20 minutes and costs around $23 for a one-way trip and $35 for round trip.
🇺🇲 Spirit Park is a patriotic waterfront park with one of the largest flags in the US, statues of several US presidents, and textured sculptures of an American Bison family created by John Lopez, a carousel, and a playground nearby.
Overall a fun place to explore!
