Nyx is one of those dogs. Only 3 years old, Nyx was rescued unable to walk due to severe spinal injuries, most likely caused by being hit by a car. She desperately needed emergency medical care. Thankfully, she was able to undergo spinal surgery this week, and now begins the long road to recovery.

Yesterday we transported 64 more dogs to safety here at Big Dog Ranch Rescue from the horrific Texas Shepherd breeder case. There were also 27 puppies who had been deliberately hidden on another property, left in unsafe conditions.💔
Thankfully, all of them are now safe at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, where each dog and puppy will receive medical treatment, and the second chance they always deserved.
We also want to thank US Attorney General Pam Bondi, including her team at the DOJ, Sec. of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, John Walk including their teams at the USDA and Big Dog Ranch Rescue President Lauree Simmons for stepping in swiftly, securing evidence, and ensuring the remaining dogs are still alive are finally safe.
We want to thank the incredible team at Dallas SPCA for caring for them until we could get the last of the 64 dogs remaining. We still have one more trip to Texas to pick up two moms with her puppies who are too young to travel. We can’t thank Dallas SPCA enough for caring for these dogs until we could make room for them at the ranch.
Over 100+ of these precious German Sheperds will be ready for adoption in two weeks.
