1. Use a large terracotta pot with a drainage hole and a saucer underneath.
2. Only water from the bottom â never from the top.
3. Always keep some water in the saucer so the basil can drink as much as it needs.
4. Never pull off the leaves â cut the stem right above a leaf node instead so it grows back bigger and bushier.
5. keep it in a warm, sunny spot with around 6â8 hours of sunlight a day.
