Whilst the majority of the country was graced with lashings of snow, Lincoln only managed a sprinkling 🙃
Despite the lack of snowfall, the little we got made for some pretty sights! The blanket of white that covered the streets transformed the landscape into a wintery wonderland!
I love fresh snowfall, there something so magical about seeing everything looking white and pristine. This morning was especially magical. As the sun rose, a gentle, warm light filled the sky, reflecting off the cold snow, creating a beautiful contrast between the cool fresh air and the warm rising sun.

It’s that time of year when the winter sun makes for some impressive sunsets! One of my favourite things about this time of year has got to be the ability to witnesses the sunrise/sets each day!
Theres something so special about watching the sky transform from deep blue to vibrant yellows, reds, pinks and oranges. The sun has the ability to make the sky explode into an array of incredible colours, and we get the privilege of watching it all for free!
Winter can become harsh this time of year. Without the excitement of Christmas to look forward to, January can feel extra cold, dark and miserable. It’s looking to these small glimmers of beauty each day that can help get us through the colder months!

Christmas lights are so magical! It’s crazy how a few dozen lights can completely transform the ordinary into something truly wonderful!
I always love taking a walk through the city centre around Christmas! I have fond memories of going to see the lights. As a child, each year we would visit afterschool. We would always go for a McDonald’s before wandering the streets, trying to spot as many decorations as possible!
This year I decided to take a wander myself through the town centre and I was amazed by him many decorations there were! From tall trees to giant light up presents, there was so many to spot! Definitely worth venturing out into the cold for!

Recently I visited the beautiful country of wales. It’s amazing how quickly the landscape changed once we’d crossed the border.
Flat countryside became endless rolling hills, stretching for miles on end. As you drive deeper into wales, hills become mountains shooting up from the ground, towering high all around you. As a girl who comes from a notoriously flat county, I was amazed by how varied the landscape was.
It’s amazing that these giant lumps of land even exist! I was always a geography lover at school. The way our world was formed is so interesting to me so getting to see such incredible creations of nature up close was so cool!

This is Scots monument In Edinburgh. This incredible gothic spire is the second largest monument in the world, dedicated to a writer. The monument was constructed to commemorative Sir Walter Scott who passed in 1832.
The architect tasked with building this magnificent monument was George Meikle Kemp who actually won the contract in a competition. Initially George was disqualified due to his lack of qualifications but his design grew in popularity and he was later re-awarded the job.
Located in princess street gardens in Edinburgh, the sculpture stands at an impressive 200 foot tall and can be seen towering high above Edinburgh for miles on end. This incredible architectural structure is a must see during a trip to Edinburgh!

The sound of rushing water echoed throughout the forest, gradually becoming louder as I got closer towards this beautiful little waterfall.
This powerful force of nature poured endless into the stream below. Its constant flow caught my attention and I stood there mesmerised by its beauty. I sat there for a few moments, taking time to pause and enjoy the serenity.
For a few short minutes, the noise of the world around became quiet as my mind was focused on nothing but the trickling water. It was so nice to take a moment just to be. As humans we fill our days with so many things that we forget just how incredible life is. Taking the time to reconnect with nature was so peaceful and soothing.

Wow! What a castle! Whilst I was on my travels up in beautiful wales, I took the opportunity to visit several incredible castles!
Wales is known for its iconic castles thanks to its turbulent historical past. Conflict was rife between the Brits and Welsh, which led to many castles being needs for both attack and defence. With over 600 castles throughout the country, Wales holds the title for the most castles per square mile.
This is Beaumaris castle, located in a small seaside town up in north wales. Construction started in 1295 but came to a sudden halt in 1330 due to lack of funding. Despite the castle never being finished, it still remains one of the most perfect examples of medieval military architecture in the UK.
