This dream home in is a 1940s bungalow that underwent a whole home renovation and 800 Sf addition- bringing total space to 2212 SF. It was on the 2022 Historic Kenwood Bungalowfest Tour. This home is best of both worlds- the charm of a historic home and the modern conveniences and size of newer homes. This home features a full laundry room, dream kitchen with luxury appliances, 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a formal Living room, Den/Office, Dining room with built in Banquette (storage!), and Family room. Repurposed pavers, antique bricks, and original oak floors bring the charm, and ammenities like hurricane windows, luxury appliances, and designer lighting bring the modern touches people crave. On a charming brick lined street lined with Live oak trees. 🌳🌳🌳

When designing this Global Modern custom home, the kitchen was carefully designed, curated, and planned to take advantage of views, lifestyle, and our clients wishes. The homeowners desired an eat-in kitchen for morning coffee, access to the outdoor space for grilling, and functional space for daily cooking. I designed this kitchen to be tucked around the corner, adjacent to the living room but not the first view you see when you walk in (the water is!). Utilizing dual islands was a great way to keep the main daily cooking at the back with a functional island with 4’ Galley + drydock. The front entertaining island is for hosting and hanging out, with close proximity to the beverage bar, the living room, and the outdoor.
I couldn’t be more proud of this space and for our clients trusting us to guide them every step of the way through designing their custom home.

Bee Studios won a Bronze Award in the category of “Kitchens between $175,000- 250,000” for their project in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood.
