What does it involve for me?
š± a small base of social media clients I genuinely love supporting
šø regular content shoots with the best hospitality and Airbnb businesses in Yorkshire
š„ weddings at venues Iāve dreamed about (I have so many dreamy ones booked already!)
š weāre buying a VW van to enjoy ourselves but also to rent out as a new business adventure and for an extra income stream
š“ a Dubai trip š I hope! And hopefully lots more lovely trips
š§āāļø finding new hobbies, slow days, and self-care thatās actually helpful - itās something Iāve been so rubbish with but this year will be intentional⦠I mean Iāve already read 4 books š„³
Starting the year fresh even though it could have started better and a lot of these plans are on hold until Iām healed.. theyāre still going to happen š.

Iāve been non-weight bearing on my foot for 5 weeks (maybe more lost count) now and Iāve still got at least another 3 weeks to go. It means Iām having to use crutches to get about the house ⦠and my office chair š, and weāve bought a wheelchair so I can leave the house a bit.
Itās meant Iāve had to sort out weddings to be captured by other people and push back content days with clients BUT we are now nearly at the end and I am now a pro at getting about with crutches in the house (for about ten steps š) and with some incredible help, from other creators, I can now go ahead full force with content days.
We booked a campervan for Christmas and so glad we didnāt cancel as it was so nice to get away and see the gorgeous sights of north wales. We tried to find wheelchair friendly places but when we couldnāt, Liam walked Shay while I chilled with a hot chocolate in the van! I rode in the back for the full time with my leg up complete with doggy cuddles.
We booked through who I highly recommend (will be doing a proper post or two on that soon!)
We ate out twice⦠in the last 5 weeks which is insane and Iāve missed out on so many lovely bookings I had planned but hoping to get visiting those businesses very soon.
We spent new years at our neighboursā playing lots of games! And been around to see all our families.
Iāve worked over Christmas for some of the time, just to stop myself from going stir crazy š.
So, a bit of an odd festive time from me⦠and I feel like Iām now on the final countdown to walking again š- never take anything for granted!!
I hope youāve all had a lovely Christmas and New Year š«¶š»
Hereās to 2026.

š Warm, welcoming service that felt genuine
š A dining experience thatās memorable, not just tasty
š Great for both casual lunches and weekend dinners

If youāre searching for the best brunch in Brighouse, this place delivers every time. Their brunch spreads are unreal, and the cheese fondue is always a firm favourite of mine. š§
One of the reasons they stand out as a top Yorkshire brunch spot is how often they change their brunch themes, giving you a new reason to visit. And donāt even get me started on their Sunday dinner⦠genuinely worth planning your weekend around. š¤¤
Currently counting down to their Valentineās menu because I already know Iāll be booking in š¤š¤£

(Not just the broken foot part⦠although, that too š)
This year has been the wildest mix of how is this real life? and how am I keeping up with this pace?
From launching my wedding content business and shooting 33 actual weddings (??), to somehow already having 2026 and even 2027 bookings coming through.
From being invited and/or paid to eat at over 50 restaurants (mental), to watching McFly like I was 15 again, freezing in Budapest with a pint in hand, having summer in Croatia and getting caught in a Bosnian storm, and drinking beer at the Fringe Festival after sleeping in a service station.
And somewhere between all of that and full-time workā¦
I helped 19 incredible business owners with their content, not just with posts or pretty feeds, but with actual strategy, storytelling, confidence, and content that finally made sense for them.
And I think thatās what Iām most proud of.
Because 6 years ago when I started, I just wanted to share food I loved and champion indies.āØI had no idea it would lead to building something that genuinely helps other small businesses thrive.
2026 already has some big stuff lined up.
But before I launch into all that, I just wanted to pause and say:āØIf your year didnāt look like you expected, itās okay - itās probably turned out even better. āØMine didnāt happen how I expected⦠But maybe itās leading you somewhere better than youād planned.
Merry Christmas š enjoy this festive period - itāll be a weird one for me!
(I will definitely be posting again before then as I have a back log of content to get through š)
š 8/10 ā Explored new places and survived a thunderstorm I genuinely thought would be my end.
šø 15/10 ā McFly v Busted absolutely destroyed me. Didnāt expect to get emotional, but it hit me right in my teenage core. 10/10 would scream the lyrics again.
š§» 7/10 ā Oasis was class, but I missed half the gig in the toilet queue. Toilets and beer = concert tax, apparently.
š„“ -2/10 ā Weeād in a washing-up bowl in a van. Honestly, just donāt ask. Book things properly and plan ahead, people.
š¶ 10/10 ā Doggy cuddles are therapy.
šø 9/10 ā Hit a Ā£6k month! Cried, panicked, celebrated, repeated. We love a self-employed rollercoaster.
š¦ 11/10 ā Launched a whole new business.
š· 7/10 ā A restaurant every week sounded great until I got tired, bloated and just wanted beans on toast at home.
š» 3/10 ā Tried to juggle full-time work with client work.
𦶠-5/10 ā Broke my foot just before Christmas - canāt walk and currently using my office chair to get around the house, moved shoots, off work, and had to sort out 2 weddings.
Great year overall though - hereās to an even better 2026! āØ
But here are 10 things you definitely wouldnāt guess about me, if you didnāt know me personallyā¦
- Elvis stan
- I used to tap dance⦠I still have my tap shoes and sometimes youāll see me randomly start to tap š
- 1% Club nerd - I NEED to get on the show!
- Primary School Teacher + Food blogger
- Biggest dream is to renovate a van and go on all the adventures
- MASSIVE puzzle geek - and now apparently jigsaw too
- Tattoos? Too many to count
- Licorice? Avocado? Friends series? Iām a celeb? Hard no.
- Running 3 businesses (yes, really)
⦠and thatās just scratching the surface⦠might do another one of these soon!
Whatās something that no one would guess about you!? I love to know peopleās quirks!
Which one surprised you most?
I never set out to be a social media manager or a content creator.
I am a primary school teacher who back in the day, lived for pub quizzes, pasta, and my next pint.
Then life flipped. I moved to Dubai, got swept up in bottomless brunch culture (who doesnāt when theyāre there!?) and stunning rooftop bars⦠and like any millennial with a decent iPhone camera, I started taking photos of everything. šš„
What started as snapping my food turned into an Instagram page.
That page turned into making new friends, a growing following, DMs for recommendations⦠and eventually, paid work.
Restaurants started inviting me to launch events. Hotels were offering collabs. People trusted what I had to say⦠not because I was shouting the loudest, but because I kept showing up, genuinely loving the industry I was sharing.
When I moved back to the UK, I kept the food blog going, and thatās when it really took off.
Brands started noticing.
One business ended up messaging me and asking if Iād run their socials. I had zero formal experience but said yes.
Fast forward a year and a halfā¦(after lots of training and investment into my business)
Iāve worked with restaurants, hotels, wedding brands and creatives. Iāve built content strategies that actually convert. Iāve helped businesses ditch the faff and finally feel confident online.
And I still run my foodie blog on the side, and now capture weddings too (which still feels surreal, btw).
If youāre in the food, travel or wedding world, and youāre tired of posting just to post⦠Iāve been where you are.
Iām proof that showing up online can lead to wild opportunities.
Here to help you do the same ššøāØ
