Notes I’ ve written while working on this:
This work came out of a kind of meditation. Months of slow and meticulous repetition. Here, the work doesn’t sit alongside the process, it exists inside it.
It feels like following a private formula: “this passage three times.” Why three? I’m not sure. Over time I’ve built a set of ritual-like rules, something close to a belief system. Repeat, wait and observe barely visible changes. An enormous amount of time devoted to something almost invisible.
It is also an act of resistance against time. Outside the studio everything is fast, functional, result-driven. Inside, time is different. It becomes possible to spend months on something that seems useless. Like boiling bark to create inks: maximum effort, minimal output. And still necessary.
A forest turns into its own palette, mirabolan, acacia, sappan wood, logwood shifting into violets and reds. Everything changes through relation, as if each material already contains a chain of transformations, a system of slow becoming.

One of three pieces in the series
Sound, to me, is another way of thinking about form, fluid, relational, impossible to contain. Each ceramic piece in this series functions like a bell: it holds within it a potential vibration, a latent voice. Equipped with a clapper, every sculpture produces a different resonance depending on its movement, material density, and shape. When several of them are activated together, their tones merge into a fragile polyphony, a chorus of distinct yet interconnected voices.
These are characters searching for their own voice, but in doing so, they create a collective one. The work suggests that identity may not lie in choosing a single tone, but in hosting all voices at once, allowing them to coexist, overlap, and transform one another.

There, I began experimenting with the interplay between batik and eco-print, using leaves and flowers I gathered on site to imprint their traces onto silk. It was the first time I approached silk as a shroud, something capable of absorbing and returning a story.
This process opened up a deeper reflection on identity and memory, where silk becomes a kind of skin, holding the marks of a passage, a story revealed through what remains.
From this exploration, an installation of five silk pieces was born, created through batik and eco-print and dyed with natural pigments, titled “I Carry The Forest Inside”.
Within these works, images from my inner landscape emerge and transform: branches shifting into anatomical human forms, bones surfacing beneath the surface, as if something hidden were gradually coming into view

These works took shape after encountering Renaissance clerical garments at, where fabric, structure, and symbolism merge into a single language.
This series brings together fragments of silk, previously hand-dyed with natural pigments and drawn with graphite. What was once a continuous image is cut, interrupted, and reassembled with subtle shifts. The result is no longer a unified picture, but a surface of pauses and fractures, a meditation on identity as something layered, unstable, and multiple.
