We’ve called the Annex home since 2008, and it’s impossible to fully capture what this neighbourhood has meant to us. From our earliest days in a shed on Barton Ave. to where we are now, the support, relationships, and shared love of cycling found here helped shape Bateman’s into what it is today.
We’re deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, and to everyone who walked through our doors, trusted us with their bikes, and became part of our community along the way.
This move allows us to focus even more intentionally on our community programming, expand our youth development initiatives, and operate closer to the trails where so much of our riding happens. Our Leaside location gives us the space to grow, host, and build in ways that better serve our riders and families.
What this means moving forward:
-Bateman’s Trail Shop (49 Laird Drive) will re-open on January 5th, 2026. Bateman’s on Bathurst will remain closed
-All Road and Gravel programs will now operate out of our Leaside location at 49 Laird Drive
-Our Leaside shop will be home to all Bateman’s retail, service, and ride programming
-Any online orders placed for Bathurst Street pickup will be shipped free of charge during the transition
While we’re saying farewell to a space filled with memories, we’re looking ahead with excitement and purpose. Our commitment to Toronto’s cycling community remains unchanged, and this move allows us to invest even more deeply in it!
