It’s a wellness summer in Provence ☀️
But there’s also the unexpected.
The moments that were never part of the plan. The moments that last only a few seconds, but become unforgettable when someone is there to notice them 🤍
Hosted at La Bastide de Laurence, a place that in every detail carries the resonance of Vitality, our retreats are designed to help you bypass the noise of the outside world and drop back into yourself.
Years of personal exploration have shaped every detail of how I’ve brought Maison Vitalité to life. My work is rooted in the belief that wellbeing comes from connection - to the body, to nature, and to the innate rhythms we so often lose touch with. Each of us is born into a state of Vibrancy, yet over time it becomes easy to accept discomfort, dis-ease, and disconnection as our baseline.
Each retreat is designed to bring us back to true nourishment, which at its core, is simplicity. Eating locally, intentionally, and in accordance with the vibrancy of the seasons. Cooking with presence and reverence. Moving in a way you love, working in partnership with your body rather than against it. Rituals that create space and conversation with your soul and true essence. Presence in our environments, noticing the abundance of beauty around us.
My greatest passion is creating opportunities for people to reconnect with themselves, and what it means to truly be Well. It’s my greatest Joy to share this with you.

We explored many amazing wedding venue possibilities and I spent time building visual worlds around each of them, understanding what they could become and what they could hold, because that is how I think, visually, in light, colour, texture and story.
It allowed me to see each place not just for what it was, but for its potential, and to guide our decision from that place.
France was always there in the background.
And when revealed itself, we knew.
For both of us, it felt like somewhere we could have lived, somewhere that felt intrinsically us.
We listened to that. We fell in love.
We arrived the weekend before the wedding, and I walked the grounds with my camera, capturing these images.
The light, the stone, the gardens, the texture, it all held exactly what I had imagined. It felt like a movie scene. It felt so ‘us’ in style and so authentically Provence.
I always think in light, colour and texture.
I am always considering how something will translate through the lens, not just in the moment, but in the final body of work.
Because it is never just about capturing something as it is.
It is about how it will live on, in the images, and in how they come together. For me - it was art.
That way of seeing has shaped my entire career.
Understanding how a place carries the weight of the final curation.
And when it all unfolded, it felt exactly as it had in my mind.
My team. My people. Those who understood us as people bright this to life from the most exquisite canvas.

The aesthetic drew directly from Impressionist painting: soft, layered colour, shifting tones, and a sense of atmosphere that evolved throughout the day. Florals echoed Monet’s garden, tables were set through lavender as dusk settled in, and the bride’s wardrobe — including bespoke pieces created from her own watercolours — blurred the line between fashion and personal narrative.
There was a quiet emotional depth running through it all. This was a celebration built on lived experience, where design choices carried meaning rather than decoration. Even the pacing of the day reflected that intention — unhurried, observational, allowing moments to unfold naturally.
It was, ultimately, a wedding that balanced control and spontaneity — visually composed, but emotionally open — where every element contributed to a story that felt entirely theirs.

We began in the UK, exploring manor houses and boutique hotels, including a beautiful property in Devon I visited on a work trip, at a point when a destination wedding wasn’t even certain. The search widened to Barbados, a firm favourite, and then to Mallorca, which held personal meaning for the bride.
I then researched and reviewed 100+ properties across Europe, distilling them into a considered shortlist that would actually work in practice. That’s when the direction settled on France.
During that time, while I was deep in venue research, the client was understandably keen to move into visuals, sending through ideas and references. I kept gently bringing it back to process. The venue comes first. It becomes the canvas. Only once that is right can the design sit naturally on top of it. I asked them to trust me to do the work the way I know how to do it best.
There was a moment where a venue they loved, somewhere familiar, almost became the one. But at contract stage it became clear it would restrict how the weekend could unfold. So I shifted the search again, more precisely across the region.
That’s when I found Bastide de Laurence.
They fell for it instantly and booked before visiting, something I would rarely recommend, but sometimes instinct takes over!
From there, it became about understanding it properly. I travelled out to the property and the region multiple times, walking the space, mapping logistics, refining layouts and shaping the design around how it would actually function.
Because a place like this is not a ready-made events venue. It asks more of you. Part of my role is taking something that feels right and doing the work behind the scenes to make it hold.
A small aside. A current client recently told me they grew up visiting Bastide de Laurence, the owners’ daughter a close childhood friend. The world really is smaller than you think. 💕

Harry has an incredible way of capturing moments without ever interrupting them and what he understands is the emotional change in a story arc, and it’s why I’ve cried every time I’ve watched this video.
There’s a softness and depth to his work that feels both intimate and timeless.
Nothing feels forced, everything feels true.
We’re so grateful to have had you tell this story, our dearest friend, our trusted colleague and a man we continue to put our trust in time and time again because he is not only the biggest team player and talented filmmaker but also the kindest man.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to
