I’ve done many shoots, but this one had me going aww every single minute 🥹
From helping a client plan a surprise engagement for the love of his life to hiding in the bushes to catch that perfect moment… AAHHHH. I love engagement shoots so much.

Thank you for trusting me with your big moment Sam & Carl ♥️

It’s crazy to me how many hearts this painting touched, especially because it came from a moment of utter frustration. I was doubting myself, my resilience, everything..and I had to literally sit myself down and give myself a pep talk. Paint to paper.

Seeing people pause, read it, feel something from it and take a copy home was such a reassuring moment. It reminded me that even in the moments you feel lost, what you create can still mean something to someone.

I hope someone reads this today who needs it the most.
I had such a fun time shooting for the beautiful ♥️

Haven’t posted on my grid for a while because sharing beautiful pictures has started to feel a little tone-deaf in a world where so many people are living in fear every single day. My work has always been about noticing things and capturing them through photographs, art, or design. Yet lately it feels like we all need a small pause from the constant stream of content that shocks us and leaves us paralyzed.

Sometimes it honestly feels like a war on consciousness. As if the goal is to keep us so consumed by fear that we stop moving, stop thinking, stop feeling anything else. Do you know what I mean?

But today I had a small epiphany. If this is what’s happening to us, then photographers actually have a bigger responsibility. Maybe our role is to capture the beauty that still surrounds us to help neutralize the fear and remind people that something as simple as a sunrise carries immense beauty.

No matter where you are in the world, this is one thing that was shared between you and me today: the sun rose for both of us.

And this is what my sunrise looked like.
Glorious. Magnificent. I’m in awe

God is truly the most spectacular artist ❤️
2025 was the year I kept going on because I told myself, “this too shall pass” whether it was a sad or a happy time.

I started the year drowning in college application deadlines. With the year planned on nothing but hypothetical scenarios felt heavy. But Jan taught me that beginnings don’t need certainty.

Feb brought in rejections on rejections. It shook me and tested my faith but ultimately reminded me that rejection is just information and it’s not the final verdict.

March showed me what unconditional love is and how easy it is to fall in love with a cat. Bugatti came into my life to heal me in ways I didn’t know I needed healing.

I found out I would be exhibiting in July in a gallery. April was a reminder that the small incremental work adds up and it matters even when no one is watching.

I received an acceptance letter in May to start Masters in Experience Design at SJSU. This month showed me that waiting doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Started a project to create banners for the city of Emeryville! June taught me that opportunities come up when you do the work and finish it.

July reminded me that I don’t need permission to take up space. I put out my first gallery exhibition! What an absolute dream.

August showed me that going back to school is not going backwards. I started a full-time masters program and became a student again!

September felt like a never ending nightmare. This month brought in a lot of major life changes. We lost our cat that broke our hearts into tiny little pieces. I almost felt like I got hit by a train. We also packed up our home in Emeryville and moved to San Jose.

October brought opportunities for me. I presented a design project at Adobe and took space on the stage to introduce a key speaker. Oct reminded me that I must keep going. This mindset helped me match with a mentor at Google.

In November I saw how the work you do eventually pays off. I finally got to see the fruit of my labor on the streets of Emeryville. This gave me a new found appreciation for my work.

Dec finally allowed me to start decorating my new home and reflect on the year I’ve had. This year required a lot of labor from me.
All four banners I created for the city of Emeryville are now up on Hollis st. and Shellmound st. It’s surreal to see months of work come together and live on the streets. I am so incredibly grateful to showcase my work in a public setting.

If you’re in Emeryville, go take a walk and look up at the poles. They are all full with art ❤️🦋

These are literal windows into my life. I painted all of these in nature, in the very spots that inspired them. I picked up the brush instead of the camera because I wanted to slow down and be more present. I can honestly say I lived these moments, completely in the present, and now I can’t believe they’ve all found a new home.

Now they are someone else’s windows to look through and feel something deeply, just like I did. This is an example for me of art coming full circle. It begins with someone wanting to express an emotion, and somehow, miraculously, it finds its way to someone who needs it.
