We need your help right now.
Today, Chevy’s foster noticed a sudden and very alarming change. He has almost no energy, does not want to get up or move around, is not responding when his name is called, and has been lying down refusing to do much of anything.
Most concerning of all, Chevy’s gums are now WHITE.
White gums are a medical emergency and can indicate severe blood loss, anemia, shock, or other life-threatening conditions. Waiting is not an option. Chevy is being rushed to emergency veterinary care immediately.
The heartbreaking reality is that our rescue funds are completely depleted.
We do not have an estimate yet because he has not been assessed, but emergency diagnostics, bloodwork, imaging, hospitalization, and treatment can easily reach into the thousands of dollars before we even have answers.
We know it’s a lot to ask, but Chevy needs us right now.
Please consider making a donation toward his emergency care. Every dollar will help us get answers and give Chevy the best chance possible.

Please keep Chevy in your thoughts tonight. We are terrified of what we may be facing, but we are not willing to take the risk of waiting.
We will update everyone as soon as we know more. ❤️

The last five years wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing community, so let’s get together, share some of our favourite rescue memories, and raise a glass to the next five 🍻
Our forever foster program allows us to find loving homes for pups with more intensive needs, and allow them the comfort of spending their days in a comfortable home.
Karma was not feeling fantastic and had been up midnight and shaking her ears and rubbing them on things.
Cait rushed her in to urgent care today.
Our friends at took wonderful care of her as always.
We’re asking for some support in covering her bill.
Karma has also been seeing Judith at this clinic weekly for laser therapy, if anyone wants to sponsor that it’s $43 weekly 🤍
Today is the perfect day to check out our adoptable dogs. We have some truly amazing pups who have been waiting for a while for their perfect match, and maybe that could be you for one of them!
Not looking to adopt but still want to help? Fostering is one of the biggest ways you can support animal rescue. Every foster home opens up space for us to help another dog in need and gives them a safe and comfortable place to land while they wait for their forever family.
Check out our adoptable dogs (and cats) here:
Want more info on fostering?:
(Pictured here are some of our current adoptables: Joan Jett, Pandora, Millie, Chevy and Raisa)
We put out a plea earlier this week that we are hoping to open back up for intake, but we haven’t received a single application.
Without open foster homes, we cannot help.
Please consider opening up your home to foster, it quite literally is the only way we can save lives.

Meet our radiant Raisa! A seasoned squirrel hunter and a chill girl, she is a dog that any human would be lucky to have in their lives!
She is not one for the city, as the loud noises can be stressful. And while they say "the city never sleeps", Raisa sure does! Early-afternoon nap, late-afternoon nap, pre-night-time nap. When is it not a good time for a nap? But when she isn't catching Z's, she is heading on walks to adventure in the great outdoors!
When you first meet her, it can take her a bit to warm up to you (even longer for males). But once she is warmed up, she is coming in hot! With a strong preference for human company, you will have a wonderful companion to hang out with when working or chilling at home.
Raisa has made great progress on everything while in her foster home, from building trust to learning neat tricks! She has gained great confidence (and we are so proud of her for it!), but the confidence still has a lot of room for improvement, so she may not vibe well with another dog in the house. Without having met a kitty, we don't know how she will do with them. Therefore, her forever family will need to treat this area with extra special care, including proper introductions and boundary setting, if they wish for her to potentially befriend felines. Raisa is in love with her human-foster sibling, so it is possible she can do well in a home with school-aged kids or older.
Sure, she is a gentle sweetie, but when she wants to, she can show off her Lightning McQueen speed! And she will just as quickly capture your heart <3
Here's what Titus' family has to say ❤
"I wanted to check in and let you know that Titus celebrated his "Gotcha Day" on April 19th and I cannot believe how time flies. It feels like he has always been a part of this family. We cannot imagine life planning without him now.
So all this to say, we wanted to say another thank you and update with new pics of our sun loving boy.
Thank you Shelby and Bark At the Moon Rescue.
Ania & Martin"

Are you ready to have a MAJOR-ly good boy in your life? Major is an energetic, happy-go-lucky boy who loves to play and nap with his humans. He loves when his humans are home, but does just as well in the crate if his humans need to go to work.
The only thing he might love more than his humans are his toys - he loves chewing on them! Because of his enthusiastic energy, puzzles as well as mental and physical stimulation would go a long way to make this boy happy. He loves going on long walks with his humans - hiking would be even better!
Major is an expert at taking treats gently and is also learning which objects at home are toys and which ones aren't. He has also made lots of progress in his training and is very comfortable in his crate. On walks, Major may pull at the leash to go to different patches of grass. But who could blame him when there are so many curious new smells and sights?
Major is currently living in a foster home with a feline sibling. He has been very good in learning how to co-exist with cats. Major may do well in a home with dog-savvy cats with the proper introductions and boundaries put into place. Major has not met any children. He may do well with older kids due to his excitable nature. Major hasn't met other dogs, but he may do well with another dog in the home to keep him company, as long as proper introductions are made. Major may take a little while to warm up to new people, but slow introductions are the best way for him to open up!
If you're looking for a pup who loves to play but also likes to lie back and relax, then Major is the dog for you! He's such a good boy and would be a wonderful addition to any loving family.
This girl has been in care for over a year now.
She’s come so far in the last couple months, and she’s eagerly waiting for her forever family.

🖤FOSTER-TO-ADOPT PANDORA🖤
F | 5Y | 23 KG | Mixed breed | Spayed | UTD on shots | Housebroken | Crate Trained | Good with dogs | Obedience Trained with AK9 | Cat tested | Not kid tested | Fostered in London | 388 days in care
Pandora’s name tells you it all—just like in Greek mythology, she is a gorgeous maiden who is seen as a gift to everyone. This doggo melts hearts like ice cream on a hot summer day! With tons of affection to share, she is eagerly looking for her forever home to shower in cuddles.
This active girl loves to go for walks and learn neat tricks. She enjoys being mentally stimulated, whether with fun toys or a day of play.
A bit introverted, Pandora needs some time to warm up to others (furry friends and humans alike). She is curious to meet other dogs but needs the right support and introductions to truly befriend them. Similar to people, Pandora would prefer you introduce her to your human friends outside the home to calm her nerves.
Pandora still struggles with her fear of noises, this is something to be mindful of while you work together to help her become comfortable with her new life. She is also a flight risk within the first couple of weeks, meaning even in a fully enclosed yard and in the house - it’s important to keep that leash on until she’s fully decompressed and settled in.
Playful Pandora needs a family to help her navigate this crazy world and give her the patience and training she needs to thrive. With proper structure and boundary setting, she will surely shine!

Meet Joan Jett, or as she's affectionately known, "Joanie"—a bundle of energy and excitement! This girl is always ready for a walk, a game of fetch, or showing off her latest tricks. She’s super food-motivated, so training is a breeze. She loves learning new things, especially when treats are involved!
Joanie thrives on routine and structure. She’s not the snuggliest, but loves being near her people, whether it’s chilling in the same room or hanging out nearby while you’re busy. With training, she’s grown into a confident, balanced pup who knows how to have fun and relax when it’s time to wind down.
Joanie can be excitable when meeting new people, often jumping and pulling on the leash. Because of her playful energy, she might not be the best fit for a home with small children. Older kids who can help manage her excitement and join in on training could be a good fit! She prefers calm dogs that match her energy and is still working on staying cool around more excitable pups.
Joan’s ideal home is one with a good mix of playtime, mental stimulation, and chill moments. She does best in a calm environment with clear routines. A home that’s too chaotic or has overly energetic dogs might overwhelm her. Once she’s had a chance to run around and burn off that energy, she’s happy to settle down and relax.
Joan is housebroken, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and place. She’s working on intermediate commands and loves a good challenge during training. Her playful spirit and eagerness to learn make her an absolute joy to be around.
If you're looking for a fun-loving, energetic pup who’s always up for an adventure, Joanie might just be the perfect match for you. She’s ready for a family that can keep up with her energy and give her the structure she needs to thrive.
