it gets reverence, and i love that you can even do this no fuss while camping. i have a deep love affair with
japanese baked goods and milk bread - shokupan - is at the top of that list for me. though you can use all
sorts of breads and pastries that have higher fat content, it’s worth noting that you can get
anywhere in the country now and should be your new staple. in lieu of the traditional butter, i of course
swapped in 100% pure avocado oil with its rich smooth finish that rendered the pudding
perfectly moist. a2 regenerative dairy and using fresh eggs from our sweet silkie
chickens is obviously an added plus, and i folded in miso into this to bring a little salty umami to the dessert
and bring out the smoky hints from the grill. there endless ways to dial this up and down - i am thinking
cardamom and smoked sea salt next time - and a drizzle of extra virgin to finish.
