Titled Intimidad Desnuda, the project explores a softer interpretation of brutalism, where curved geometry, calm spaces, and tactile materials create a home that feels both introspective and warm.
Developed in close collaboration in Escandón, Mexico City, the architecture was conceived as a quiet counterbalance to the intensity of city life.

Our journey to create Casa Mezcal was incredibly inspiring. Immersed in Mexico’s rich cultural heritage, we connected with talented designers, artists, and craftsmen, reshaping spaces to foster openness by integrating the outdoors.
Transforming an older, dim house, we replaced the roof with expansive glass panels, creating a seamless indoor/outdoor courtyard.
Despite language barriers and cultural differences as a Dutch firm in Mexico, our hands-on involvement and collaboration with local teams made this project deeply personal. Embracing challenges became a wellspring of inspiration, allowing us to wholeheartedly embrace the beautiful Mexican culture. Our partnership with local talents made our vision bold and deeply rooted in Mexican artistry.
