Many travels were planned as our son completed his schooling last year and he accepted a place at university to his chosen path, law.
For me, it felt like a doorway opening — not just for him, but for us all.
The world answered!
The UK, Italy, Morocco,Bali, Flores, Malta, Sicily & Vietnam, and some interstate trips.
Each place left its mark.
I learned about people — their warmth, their stories, their differences… mostly all kind…
yet some very unkind people too!
I learned about connection.
From sun-washed coastal towns,
from ancient cultures, medinas, churches, mosques, to fleeting conversations with strangers, to Gaudí’s dreamlike visions-
every destination reminded me of something simple, yet powerful:
✨Be yourself. Always✨
Thanks for following along my travels this year & liking, commenting & DMs although I know the algorithm doesn’t show you what I’ve been up to at times I’m posting for myself - it seems at times 🤷♀️Also thanks for all the chats and memes sent my way! Keep ‘em coming, insta can be a great laugh!
And if you got this far …..Here’s to 2026 & more travel & yes I’m heading back to Bali in the new year after taking a break along with a few new destinations on the horizon!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳
I hope it’s filled with happiness & kindness always.

To those celebrating the birth of Christ, this is a time of reflection and togetherness with family and friends.
Here in Australia, our hearts are with the 15 families affected by the recent Bondi tragedy.
Regardless of our beliefs, we can come together in compassion and respect, honouring everyone’s right to celebrate their FAITH and TRADITIONS.
I’ve been fortunate to spend the last few christmases in both Bali (2023) and last year 2024, in the most stunning places in Europe.
The nights were all certainly “ night divine “ 🎶
Wishing peace, kindness, and unity this Christmas.

Every corner felt alive, layered with history, art, and soul. I’d recommend at least 4–5 nights here to truly experience its rhythm.
These moments were some of my highlights, but my absolute favourite was the Basílica de la Sagrada Família. I first visited many years ago when it was still unfinished, and returning to see it complete was profoundly moving.
Gaudí wasn’t just an architect — he was a visionary. And standing inside his masterpiece felt nothing short of magical.

The history here is incredible.
This isn’t just a pretty Sicilian town, it’s a piece of history, and a White Lotus moment too.
The opening scene of the second series was filmed on this incredible beach.
Aperol by the sea, perfect swims & wonderful food.
Some places don’t need an itinerary — just time.

Many say it’s like stepping into ancient Greece (which it basically is ha)
You have the stunning Temple of Apollo, Piazza del Duomo, and the Island’s gorgeous Baroque architecture.
Wander the narrow streets, try some of the seafood at a local trattoria, and soak up the history.
We loved it. 🇮🇹 End of September 2025
Good time to go and not as busy as peak season.

We had planned seven full days to explore, but life had other ideas! My husband spent most of our time there in hospital with pneumonia, and I was still recovering from Morocco.
“The best-laid plans oft go awry”!
So I slowed down. Valletta became my little world. Most of my days were spent wandering the sunlit streets of the capital.
I made a brief visit to Sliema, but I was grateful I’d chosen Valletta. It’s such a charming city, with its colourful doors, golden stone buildings, and a surprising number of wonderful little restaurants tucked away in narrow lanes.
One place I’ll never forget is Mdina, the old capital, known as the “Silent City.” Settled since before 4,000 BC, its quiet, winding streets felt like stepping back in time.
The architecture throughout all of Malta is golden & full of history.
I would definitely recommend a week or more to truly discover this gem of the Mediterranean.

Our final stop on the tour was a visit to a Berber home — a place that felt as though it had been carved straight from the heart of the Atlas Mountains. We were welcomed with the most magnificent lunch, a feast in fact! Incredible fresh flavours served against a breathtaking mountain view.
I must say, I left feeling full in every sense — nourished, grounded, and touched by the kindness and simplicity of these beautiful people. This will stay with me forever.
The Atlas Mountains are a canvas of colour. Many layers of red & ochre, shaped by Morocco’s dry desert climate. With little rain to wash away the oxidised surface, the mineral rich earth keeps its orange/red tones.
It was incredibly hot whilst there, with the temperature reaching 38 Celsius.
Our hotel here had the most gorgeous interior design filled with locally made ceramics and rugs.
As evening fell, the sunsets made the view more magical, deepening the reds of the ground until the whole landscape seemed to glow. ❤️🧡

Definitely “Golden”moments for me particularly the Villa Saint Laurent lived in.
The Majorelle Garden in Marrakech was created in the 1920s by French painter Jacques Majorelle, who designed it as a living work of art around his villa and studio. The garden features the most majestic colours and mix of exotic plants especially the famous Majorelle blue—and art deco and Moorish design elements. I just loved it 💙
After his death in 1962, the garden fell into neglect until fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge purchased it in the 1980s. They restored and preserved the garden, ensuring its survival as a cultural and artistic landmark. They were worried it was going to become a hotel so giving this back to the people after YSL’s death was a homage to the Moroccan people who they adored
Today, Majorelle Jardin is botanical oasis and artistic sanctuary, home to the Berber Museum and a memorial to Yves Saint Laurent, celebrating both Majorelle’s creativity and Saint Laurent’s enduring love for Marrakech.
