Happy New Year lovelies! Wishing you all a better, healthier, more gentle new year. 🥂🎉
This year's gingerbread house it's a very special one. It's a mini version of the old house I used to play in when I was a child, while visiting my relatives in the country side (in the The Foresters Land or Ținutul Pădurenilor) high up in the mountains.

The house itself was more than 100 years old back then and no one was living in it anymore. The big room on the ground floor which used to be a kitchen was turned into a shed for the sheep my relatives had. The first floor was our playground and although it was extremely old and in disrepair and most likely way too dangerous for us to play in it, we made beautiful memories there.

I don't know if this house is still standing because I haven't been there in over two decades, but I hope someone found a way to preserve it, it would be a pity for such a beauty to disappear.

This one's for my dear friend and for Baba and Moșu' the owners (long gone) of this magical place, who made my childhood so much more beautiful.

Merry Christmas everyone! May all your wishes come true! 🎅🎄🎁
Only two more sleeps and these beauties will be teared apart.🤭 By the time I took this shot only half of the gifts were wrapped, but thankfully I finished everything and now I am patiently waiting to put them under the tree. 🎄🎅🎁

We have a curious 2 years old in the house, who was caught yesterday hiding behind the Christmas tree and munching on the gingerbread stars hanging in it, so the gifts must be put under it on the night of the 24th when everyone is asleep if we don't want to discover their contents way too soon. 😂

This year I went the extra mile with wrapping up the presents and I am so happy with how they turned out. To be honest I almost don't even want to open them, they are way too pretty, don't you think?

How's the situation on your side? Have you finished wrapping up everything or do you still have gifts hidden here and there?
Now here's the one I am really proud of. Last year's gingerbread creation, which was such an adventure to build. The first try was a real disaster, the house collapsed, so I tried again and it turned into this gorgeous Gingerbread Mansion.

I would definitely live in such a house, wouldn't you? 😅
I am so happy when I have a couple of extra beautiful hands to help me bring my scenes to life. ❤

As mentioned before, this year I did not want to shoot a cookie box, instead I imagined myself in a Cookie Shop where you could Pick n' Mix from a variety of Christmas goodies. I baked loads of GF cookies, Christa gave us the normal ones, and I also added dried fruits and even nuts.

As you can see I already had customers in my tiny Christmas shop, the kind that want to taste everything on the table, ESPECIALLY the candy cane and the huge lollie.🤭

A couple of cries later, both candy cane and lollie were left untouched, but we had to promise that we will buy her some over the weekend, from the Christmas Market in Strasbourg. 😅

Life with kids is definitely interesting! 🙊🙈
As promised, here's my first gingerbread try, I wanted one tiny house and ended up with a whole village. It's still one of my favourite creations, so small and cute and so perfect for the festive season, don't you agree?

Are you planning to bake a gingerbread house this Christmas or do you find the whole process rather stressful and complicated?
This year's gingerbread stars are all finished, phew! 😅 Slightly different than the ones I made last season but nevertheless equally beautiful. They are already hanging in the tree and a couple of them reached friends in other countries too. I really think they make a very lovely gift.

And oh, a couple of them even got bitten into, but the holiday season without breaking some of the rules isn't much fun, right? I mean how can you resist the tiny ones curious about tasting everything you bake? 🙊

The house is full, there is still plenty to do, but my goal this week, in between my job and playing with toddlers is to bake the gingerbread house. I will be sharing the ones I baked in the past years soon and hopefully by the end of the week I will be able to show you this year's creation. Wish me luck! 🤗

After a long struggle, two days of searching for the star shaped cookie cutters, many oh no's and almost a couple of tears, a 100+ gingerbread stars were finally baked! 💪(recipe courtesy of ).

Truth be told I only managed to bake them because Mr. kindly offered to print some lovely star shapes for me at his 3D printer, which sparkled some more ideas in my head. 😍

They still need to be decorated though, but that should only take a day of intense work which I am so prepared to do. I will be sharing them with you soon and then I will move to the next and final big project: the gingerbread house. I have a brilliant idea for this Christmas and I trully hope there won't be any collapsing this time. 😅

P.s. Do you happen to know how can I grow a couple of hands for the next 2 weeks? 😂 Help is definitely needed!
Last year I shared my first Christmas cookie box here and although only two images had my heart (from the entire shoot) none of them ended up on my feed. 😅

I am planning to capture something different with the cookies I am baking this season so this will be the only cookie box you'll be seeing in this space, beautiful displayed in two different images.☺

Are you finished with the Christmas baking already or you didn't even started? My list is soooo long... I only hope I'll manage to cross everything off of it. 🤭
