I was reminded of this watching the super regionals between Arizona State and Texas with softball and All American had to throw 17 pitches to a batter. 12 straight foul balls. Why should a pitcher who throws strikes and force bad contact that many times in a row be punished.
In High School Baseball teams have to abide by pitch counts, so a batter can hit 12 foul balls and the pitcher has lost 10% of his pitches in one batter. I don’t like it. I understand the rule but it’s one that my opinion keeps changing on to even more extreme in favor of this!
