中村文美は、京からかみ丸二様とタッグを組んでのスペシャル講座。
かな書と切っても切り離せない「料紙の装飾技術」を学び、簡易な体験をしていただきます。
かな講習では、
「自分でかな作品を書けるようになりたい」
「かなをどうやって学べばいいのかわからない」
「古筆臨書はしたけど、創作につながらない」
そんな方にぜひ参加していただきたいなと思っています。
料紙の美、かなの美に触れながら、仕上げはご自身で作った料紙に和歌一首（または俳句一句）をしたためます。
ここだけで終わらない、これからの学びが楽しくなる、そんな講座にしたいと思っています。

I want to write the character ‘无（Mu）’ as though it were something flowing down from the heavens.
そこに干される真っ白な衣。
そのコントラストの美しさ。
白という色の強烈な清浄さ。
持統天皇は
日本の天皇として初めて
自らの葬儀を「火葬」で執り行わさせたといいます。
古来の屍を長期に渡って保存する方法でなく
自らの肉体を炎で焼き、
すぐさま白い清浄な骨になることを望んだ女帝の
強靭な意志を「白妙」の言葉に感じるのは
私だけでしょうか。

The deep blue of the mountains when summer arrives.
And against them, pure white robes hanging out to dry.
The beauty of that contrast.
The overwhelming purity contained in the color white.
It is said that Empress Jitō,
the first sovereign in Japanese history,
chose to have her own funeral conducted through cremation.
Rather than preserving the body for a long period in the ancient manner,
she chose to consign her flesh to flames
and become at once pure white bones.
Am I alone in sensing, within the word "shirotae"(“pure white”),
the fierce resolve of this empress?
その感動を表すのに
これほどまでに親しまれてきた歌があるでしょうか。

春が過ぎて夏が来たらしい。あの香具山に真っ白な衣が干してあるのを見ると。
_
百人一首にも収められている有名な歌。
“立秋”になると
藤原敏行の「#秋来ぬと目にはさやかに見えねども風の音にぞおどろかれぬる 」（古今集）を思うのと同じように、
“立夏”になるとこの歌を思います。
鮮やかなまでに切り取られた季節の変化。
萬葉集にこの原歌がありますが、
季節の推移を歌うことは
実は萬葉の時代には非常に稀で、
当時の持統天皇の感覚の
異質なまでの斬新さなのでは、と
私にとっては心沸き立つ一首です。
ちなみに、持統天皇と先述の藤原敏行の活躍した年には約200年の開きがあり、女帝の感覚の新しさはいかほどかと思います。

“Summer has arrived.”
Is there any poem that has been so widely cherished for expressing that feeling?
Spring has passed, and summer seems to have come—
for on Mount Kagu, they are said to be airing pure white robes.
(Empress Jitō)
This is a famous poem, also included in the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu.
Just as the coming of Risshū (the beginning of autumn) brings to mind Fujiwara no Toshiyuki’s poem—
“Though I cannot see it clearly with my eyes that autumn has come,
it is the sound of the wind that startles me into awareness”—
so too does Rikka (the beginning of summer) make me think of this poem.
The transition of the seasons, captured with striking vividness.
There is an earlier version of this poem in the Man’yōshū, yet in that era, composing poetry that focused on the progression of the seasons was actually quite rare.
For me, this makes Empress Jitō’s sensibility feel remarkably innovative—almost distinct in its freshness—and it is a poem that stirs my heart.
Incidentally, there is a gap of about 200 years between the time when Empress Jitō and the aforementioned Fujiwara no Toshiyuki were active, which only deepens my sense of how forward-looking her poetic sensibility must have been.

そんなイメージが浮かびました。
だから「くれなゐ」ではなく
「紅」一字になりました。
“対称”“均等”で説明が付く美しさより
自然物のような美しさが

such an image arose in my mind.
And so, rather than rendering it in four kana as “くれなゐ,”
I entrusted it to the single character “紅.”
Not a beauty confined to symmetry or measured balance,
but one that, like something born of nature itself,
comes quietly into being.

of higan cherry blossoms
has been set in quiet display.
My hometown—
mysteriously surrounded
by mountains abundant with cherry trees.
It brings back the spring
of Heike Valley.

for all life that exists in this world.
