Black Raspberry, Vanilla and Kawakawa Body Butter💋

Smells amazing!! Can be used as a body butter to moisturise and hydrate dry skin. A good lip balm for chapped and cracked lips during these winter months. It’s made with Shea Butter and Kawakawa infused in apricot oil so it’s good for reducing inflammation in the skin and helping with mamae like eczema. Kawakawa is an all round skin healer so good for bites, cuts and stings. It is also good for sprains and strains.

Awhina from is a māmā based in the Horowhenua and has been making rongoā for 7 years and we have been using her rongoā for a few years now too and love it, she follows tikanga, harvests sustainably and only makes small batches at a time because she puts her mauri in to each rongoā made. She’s also is just the most beautiful wāhine with the most beautiful wairua.

Nau mai ki te ao o rongoā Māori 🌿✨

I recently received these beautiful healing balms and oils from and honestly… I’m blown away. The intention, the mātauranga, and the power of our native plants really speak for themselves.

I’ve tried the Kohekohe Menstrual Rub and wow — the relief was almost instant. I wasn’t expecting it to work that well, but it truly helped ease cramps and brought such a comforting, soothing feeling to my womb space.

The Tātaramoa Sleep & Pain Relief Oil has also become a favourite. It’s so calming for both body and mind — perfect for winding down, releasing tension, and getting a restful sleep. It feels like a gentle reset after a long day.

I haven’t tried the Kūmarahou Chest Rub or Tūpakihi Muscle Rub yet, but if they’re anything like the ones I’ve used, I already know they’re going to be just as amazing 🙌🏽

There’s something really special about reconnecting with natural healing — using the native trees and plant medicine of Aotearoa to support our bodies the way our tūpuna did 💚

Highly recommend if you’re looking for natural support for pain, stress, or overall wellbeing.

Ngā mihi nui for sharing this beautiful kaupapa ✨

Looking after your mental health is so important! It is different for everyone but after talking to this person during an online consultation these were the rongoā that called to tautoko this person. All of these Rongoā are on my website but definitely book in for an online kōrero so I can recommend the best Rongoā or create a Rongoā specific to you and your healing ❤️‍🩹.

I grow my own Kawakawa and they have flourished on my whare whenua cherished by myself and my tamariki. They are growing beautifully and we need to share their love around as they are thriving in abundance. They get eaten by the looper caterpillars and also grow beautiful orange berries. My tamariki and I have made up a few packets of loose leaf tea packets on my website if anyone needs especially with the coming winter and all the respiratory issues that the season brings.

Kawakawa helps the digestive system aiding the bowels to cleanse and detox. Helps the liver and kidneys function and detox. Helps the functioning of the respiratory system by aiding in clearing phlegm from the airways. Is a blood purifier and cleaner, helps level out blood levels and regulates blood sugars.
Kawakawa also a great skin healer and using it as a tea helps to heal the skin from the inside out.
Ipu whenua-Traditional Māori Vessel used to hold the placenta of a baby
Only a beginner here but wanted to grow one for my own pēpi💚

Harvested my first hue this time last year💚. What a massive learning and wānanga it was. Only a baby doing this for sure but I was so proud of these and only x2 survived and so grateful. I used one as a ipu whenua to put my babies whenua/placenta in and buried into Papatūānuku on my turangawaewae and this is what i wanted to grow it for in the first place so i was stoked that I could do this.
The other one I saved seeds and letting it dry more. Have heaps of ideas to use it for things but what does everyone else make theirs into or use for?

I grew up in a small place on East Coast called Tikitiki.
I currently live in Levin with my paku whanau
My name is Awhina Henry
I am a Māmā, Rongoā Māori Practitioner and business owner of this small pakihi Awhi Ora Rongoā

I started my rongoā journey as an outlet for my taha wairua when I was about 19. I grew up surrounded by ngahere so that was always my place for grounding and my safe place so I went there to begin my wairua journey. Then through taha wairua the plants and trees started reaching out and teaching me how to make medicine with them. Had all kinds of Kaitiaki beings from the ngahere come and teach me Rongoā and how to heal the whenua from Plant and trees spirits, fairies, Patupaiarehe and Turehu and the many Taniwha. The plants and trees were my first kaiako for rongoā māori. After a couple years sitting with them I went to Te Wananga o Raukawa and learnt from the amazing Maudy, Mate and Rita Tupe and another course under the beautiful Joanne Hakaraia, Gabrielle Saxton and Marama Mata. But my first kaiako were the plants, trees and ngahere itself. It’s been a beautiful 9/10 years of this Rongoā journey and I’m always learning. I’m so grateful for all the tautoko over the years.
Thank you for being here💚🌱🌿
