It was shortly after, I realised someone I had a connection with, and were alway supporting one another hit the unfollow button. At first I was kinda shocked at it, and then I felt defeated.
The thoughts of what I am sharing aren't good enough or maybe I am not worthy of being followed. Those voices in my head were screaming loud.
"See I told you."
"You aren't good enough."
"Why bother?"
"No one cares about your opinion."
So I created that second account. Posted. Then deleted the post. Came back, posted, then deleted. Like a sick cycle.
I contemplated why I wanted this account and tried convincing myself that I won't miss it.
But the reality is. I WILL.
This account is more than just a social. IT IS A COMMUNITY!
A community that inspires, celebrates, uplifts, supports and so much more. We each come from different walks of life, yet under it all we share so many similarities. I can't even begin to put into words the connections I have made. Connections I would never make outside of here.
Some of my closest friends were born here.
I am staying. I am here. This place is home.
A home I've spent so much time creating. Sharing my journey, journaling my thoughts, and just being me. All in all, it encapsulates who I am.
There are times, where my journey may be hard to watch, may be triggering, or just not what you are looking for anymore.
I respect that.
I also respect that my journey is ever changing as I grow as a person.
