Splash splash! No boring bathrooms here- we loved playing with a variety of red and white tiles in this guest bath. Secondary bathrooms can be both budget savers and a place to experiment and have fun. Bold design doesn’t always mean higher cost and I love getting creative with color in these spaces. 🍄

Palette play. One of my favorite practices is to zoom in on works of art to break down the whole into tiny studies of line, pattern, color, and composition. Nothing reveals the brilliance of the artist more than zooming in 500%. Pictured here is “Man at the Fireplace” (“Homme à la cheminée”) painted by Pablo Picasso in 1916 and seen by me at the Picasso Museum in Paris.
Drawing influence from the tile work in ancient bathhouses and aiming to create something fanciful in this area, my clients and I decided on a bespoke tile banner that would encase the entirety of the bathroom. This enabled us to create a design that had a big impact on the space while also managing the budget by utilizing a more economical field tile for the remaining areas. The design is lively, bold, and precise. It showcases a neoclassical strength in its patterns and lines, balanced by a whimsical palette.

The globe lights make me think of an oysters pearl and the beautiful patinated brass fixtures sport deco era embellishments, completing the layered look. Swipe right for some progress pics!

Real or Dollhouse?

A favorite bedroom design from the archives- and YES this is in miniature! Part of a full suite of rooms we created for our 12 room Greco Roman inspired Doll-villa, this neoclassical bedroom interior features bold color, angular patterns and furniture, and a rich textural palette.

The origins of this room began many years ago in the first round of design presented to this client for an entirely different project that ultimately got put on hold. The feel, palette, and energy of that initial scheme was something we couldn’t shake when years later this family found the right home and we picked right back up where we left off. A kaleidoscope of magenta, caramel, and orchid make this room both joyful and sophisticated. Playful pattern, sensible materials, and oversized scale, make it the right setting for family hang time- of which there is lots!

More inspiration from this Paris apartment that I keep revisiting in my camera roll. I love when something really sticks with me like that- its been over a year since I toured this apartment and I can’t get it out of my head. #mongiardinointeriors designed the apartment for the family of who has continued the legacy of design through his new vision for. This was from my 2025 Paris trip for Déco Off.
I’m honored to receive the award for the best “Scenes of Life- Children’s Bedroom” category from the design awards held last night. While I couldn’t be there in person I was thrilled to hear the news in real time. A big thank you to, the judges, and for creating an event and a set of awards that really means something to our community.

This little space is especially personal as it is the nursery I designed for my first baby, Ronan. Inspired by our Irish heritage and the meaning behind his name (little seal), the room features lush green fern wallpaper by and installed by, drapery by using, a vintage deco chair from my childhood reupholstered in orange mohair, and a variety of vintage finds. Much of the art is original by family and friends save for the Guinness poster. The room is meant to feel as if you’re under the ocean looking up to the sky. The bouy I collected during my years in Maine hangs one the corner to amplify the affect along with vintage aquarium decor turned into a table lamp.

I created the reading nook using vintage French textiles and some dead space in the closet, and it now features a bevy of twinkle lights. The magic is real in this little space!

I still love this room and I’m so happy that others feel enchanted by it too. ☘️

Another Kips Bay room I was lucky to document this year was the Listening Room by “Taking a personal lens to the legacy of American chic, the room is cloaked in robin’s egg blue and blends classic elegance with modern ease.” - A Cox. Special thanks to the lovely for adding her eye to the composition and lending her touch.

I’m beyond thrilled to finally share this project, a true labor of love and one that is deeply personal. Thank you for ushering this project into the world with such care. I can’t think of a better way to reveal this home we have been working on since 2019, or a lifetime depending on how you look at it! It has been the greatest challenge and personal journey to reimagine the home where I grew up and I’m so proud to share it through the lens of and the words of. Thank you to and for folding it into the collection.

This project was a true collaboration first and foremost with my dad and my stepmom whose trust and willingness to work with me has been the greatest gift. took this project to new heights and I am so honored to have had the pleasure of working with and his team, especially Greg Ruffino, on this one!

The biggest thank you to the entire team who helped save and transform this 1939 Art Moderne home into one that could live on for the next generation.
