Manifesting 2016 energy & many Utah adventures this year 🏜️🥾🏔️
After a hectic end to 2025 (set into motion by our landlord telling us we had to move out by Jan. 1), Sam decided to jump into a Computer Engineering masters program at the University of Utah ❤️ We’ll be in SLC for a year and a half while he studies and continues to work part-time for LANL in New Mexico.
If you’re new(ish) here, Utah is Sam’s home state + where we met and got married. We spent years exploring this state together and are excited to be back on the old stomping grounds! 🥾We plan to revisit all our favorite spots + find plenty of new ones. We’re excited to be close to family and friends as well.
And to my New Mexico friends—don’t worry! We’ll be back in the Land of Enchantment after our short time in Utah, and we’ll be visiting plenty over the next year and a half for work, fun, and food (I already miss the chile 🌶️). I’ll keep sharing plenty of NM content- I left my heart in the high desert and miss it so much already 💔
We’re stoked for slot canyon adventures, powder days, red rock landscapes, wildflower summers, desert exploring, mountain climbing, and having The Mighty Five in our backyard. We’re back, baby ❄️🏜️⛷️🌸🏔️

🥾You can climb ladders into cliff dwellings, spot petroglyphs carved centuries ago, and hike through the canyon where the Ancestral Pueblo people lived from ~1150 to 1550 CE.
⏰ Hours: Generally open daily from dawn to dusk except for Christmas and emergencies like snow storms (check socials/website before you go!)
📍Location: 15 Entrance Rd near Los Alamos, NM and about an hour drive from Santa Fe.
🍔 Pro tip: grab lunch at Sirphey’s Cafe at the visitor center and try “The Doug” green chile burger that has an entire chile relleno on it- it’s delish!
⚠️ Don’t touch petroglyphs or disregard posted signage— practice Leave No Trace to protect centuries of history. The park has and will continue to close dwellings and areas that are defaced or disrespected.
Bandelier is a MUST visit for any NM itinerary, it’s worth the trip every time ✨Have you been yet?

Have you been to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs yet? It’s free to the public and is a beautiful spot for hiking and climbing (permits required). I used to climb here during the summers I spent in CO Springs but this was my first time seeing it in the snow! ❄️🏜️
