With the new community center in the village of Harnekop, the municipality of Prötzel has realized an identity-shaping, single-storey timber building that serves as a meeting place for the entire village community. Under a large protective roof, the house brings together a wide range of functions: the divisible hall forms the heart of the building and is used for festivals, celebrations, cultural events, and assemblies.
The building is conceived as a simple, robust timber construction, deliberately oriented toward local craftsmanship and traditional carpentry. Its load-bearing structure consists of a timber frame construction with visible roof beams, generous overhangs, and continuous rafters, all of which remain tangible inside and out.

The cultural landscape of Olevano shows how rural life can be shaped through collective care and exchange with nature. The installation TerreNO OlevaNO explores this through its themes CONSTRUCTION, FOOD, GARDEN, and FABRIC.
In CONSTRUCTION, we worked with local materials for spatial interventions — building a pergola from perennial canes together with Collective.and, a student group from Munich.
FOOD highlights the olive harvest as a communal act, where friends, families, and neighbors gather each autumn to pick, press, and share the oil.
Through GARDEN, we see the landscape as a space of connection — from olive groves to the Serpentara forest, linked by trails that have inspired artists for centuries.
With FABRIC, we stitched the territory of Olevano onto a tablecloth, evoking the long dinners where food, conversation, and community come together.
All elements gather beneath the pergola, forming a living table of materials, stories, and collective practices.
