Een bezoek wat al langer in de planning stond, maar waar het leven steeds door heen sjeesde.
Al van kinds af aan leerde ik “te doen met wat er is”.
Toch wilde mijn verlangen vaak anders/ beter/ gezonder/ liefdevoller/ warmer/ rijker. Mede ingegeven door de schrale omgeving waarin ik opgroeide.
En juist dat verlangen hield me weg bij mijn innerlijke gezondheid/ warmte/ liefde/ rijkdom.
Beer bracht me in het verleden naar kracht, maar soms meer nog naar een immense verslagenheid.
Beer is weer terug in mijn leven. Met de kwaliteit van “zijn” met wat is.
Beer -op de foto’s - zit dus echt gewoon in de tuin, mijn eigen tuin, en als je weet hoe ik woon? Een klein stadstuintje in een jaren 60 Vinex-Wijk, met links en rechts en achter en voor allemaal huizen en buren…..
Doen met wat er is.
Ik hoef niet meer eerst in het bos te wonen om mooie foto’s te maken of de natuurwezens tegen te komen.
Dat is de rijkdom van vandaag. Van mij. Naar binnen, naar binnen, naar binnen.
En doen met wat er is.

From early childhood I learned to make do with what is there.
Yet my longing often wanted something different — better, healthier, more loving, warmer, richer. Partly shaped by the rather barren environment in which I grew up.
And strangely enough, that very longing kept me away from my own inner health, warmth, love and richness.
Bear once led me to strength, but sometimes even more to a deep sense of defeat.
The Bear has returned in my life. Carrying the quality of simply being with what is.
The Bear — in the photographs — is therefore simply sitting in the garden. My own garden. And if you know how I live: a small city garden in a 1960s neighbourhood, with houses and neighbours on every side.
Making do with what is there.
I no longer have to live in the forest first in order to make beautiful photographs or encounter the beings of nature.
That is the richness of today.
Mine.
Inward, inward, inward.
And making do with what is there.

De wortel en de tak gaven enorm veel inspiratie en iedereen ging los!
Er werden twee bomen gemaakt, en vier aardevrouw-wezens!! Prachtig.

De hele workshop rond Tatatoek komt voort uit de wens van juffie Cindy en juffie Grieta, maar ook van juffie van vrijeschool De Strijene in Oosterhout, om dit dappere dwergje zelf te leren maken.
Julia van inspireerde me weer om mijn grens te verleggen naar Driebergen om dáár in juni een workshop over dit leuke moedige kaboutertje te geven.
Het maken van deze #flatlaytuesday foto is geïnspireerd door het contact met, die afgelopen zondag al voor de tweede keer een workshop kwam volgen.
