Spending the evening with Micarah and Dan felt less like photographing an engagement session and more like stepping into a story they’ve been writing together for years.
Micarah made both dresses herself (if you know Micarah you’d expect nothing less), Dan created the incredible family crest by hand (if you know Dan you’d also expect nothing less), and every room seemed to hold the most beautiful details.
The best engagement sessions aren’t about perfect locations or elaborate plans. They’re about documenting people exactly as they are in this season of life. Their home, their creativity, their inside jokes, their chicken, and all the little things that make their story theirs.
I left with a full memory card and approximately 47 new house goals. 🤍

Paige & Justin brought their favorite people all the way to Sorrento for a celebration overlooking the sea, where the morning started among the palms of Villa Silvana, tears were shed during first looks, and the evening ended with the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast glowing in the distance.
What I’ll remember most isn’t the view, though. It was the way these two looked at each other all day long. The quiet excitement. The overwhelming gratitude. The feeling that after all the planning, all the flights, and all the anticipation, they were exactly where they were supposed to be.

My second shooter tested positive for COVID just two days before we were supposed to fly out, and Sierra flew all the way from Oklahoma while Georgia came from NYC. I’m forever grateful for these incredibly talented women who made this happen.
Oh, and can we talk about ephemera?! We were all fangirling so hard—the most insanely talented florist I’ve ever seen! Every detail of this day was next-level, and I’m so thankful to everyone who poured their hearts into it.
