The past 30 days have been wild! I did 6 shoots - 4 campaigns and 2 test shoots. Here are a few things I want to say…

I love my team so much! Working with all of you is always the highlight for me. Whether it’s a paid job or a test shoot, each of you always goes above and beyond and we always have so much fun. I seriously couldn’t do it without you.

There are so many people to thank that if I named everyone this caption would be a novel, so I’m keeping it general. You know who you are and you know what you mean to me.

To the veterans on my team who continue to impress me every single time - your consistency and support mean everything.

To the newer members who have slid right into this crew like they’ve always been here - watching you grow has been one of the best parts of this job.

And to the new news - your energy and work ethic did not go unnoticed.

And a huge thank you to the people hiring me and my team! To the new clients who took a chance on us, and to the recurring clients who have trusted me so many times - please know I’ll never take these opportunities for granted.

Moments away from home
Spent the first part of 2026 soaking up the sun with my all time favorite.

Hey - bring us back, and we’ll shoot more photos for you ☺️
When you get to photograph, but only for a minute, and only in front of a backstage step-and-repeat.

He was one of the nicest people I’ve ever photographed, and he got so stoked I was shooting with a fisheye.

Thanks & ❤️
I’ve been missing shooting skating a lot lately. Thinking back to when I first moved to LA over 15 years ago - moved to Long Beach where I didn’t know anyone. A few months in, I found myself skating with the crew. They were heading to Kansas City to film for Brainwash and said I could come shoot. I jumped at the chance.

Johnny Layton switch 360 flip big slant. Barney Allis Plaza - a famous Kansas City spot. First thing we shot. Johnny landed it before 10am. I hadn’t even had coffee yet. Then he broke his rib slamming into the bus and was out for the rest of the trip. My first photo in. Thanks.

gap to nosegrind. Pretty sure this was the first time I met Leo. I was such a fan and couldn’t believe I was shooting him in my hometown. One thing I learned - it felt like he was racing me and the filmer Kevin to land it before we were ready. I swear he jumped out of the van and popped at the rail before I could get my camera out. I got only 5 frames with flashes - three to test lighting, first attempt, then he landed it second try. Total whirlwind. I was some nobody shooting Leo’s last tricks for his video part and I better not fuck it up. This ended up as my first Toy Machine ad. Thanks.

smith grind. First time I shot this rail was front boarding it - I skipped school to shoot it with him. Coming back with the Toy Machine crew was cool. Dan Lu was the dude I knew best on the team.

crook. I don’t have many regrets in life, but this is one. Leo was going for it while I ran between tries setting up flashes. I shot fisheye because that’s where filmer Kevin Barnett was. But I regret not shooting long lens. I can imagine what it would’ve looked like with Leo leaning into the turn on top of the rail. Would’ve been so fucking cool.

50-50. Honestly not sure if he landed this. Never saw footage. But I liked the photo, so let’s just say he did.

Wescoe. The last frames are from a famous Lawrence, Kansas spot. No one rushing to get a trick. No pressure. Just some of the best skateboarders skating a spot I grew up skating.
I was approached recently to bid on a shoot that looked a lot like this. It’s funny how these things go - sometimes a project comes in and you’re thinking, “Really? You want ME for this?” And other times you see the brief and immediately know you’ve got a whole archive of exactly what they’re looking for.

The wild part is how unpredictable it all is. You’ll book the job you never expected to get and lose the one that seemed totally your style.

I didn’t end up getting this one, but I loved going back through older work for the deck I made them. These images are from a shoot I did a few years ago - dad getting absolutely soaked, kids losing their minds, that perfect chaos. There’s nothing better than strapping a splash bag on your camera and jumping right into the middle of the water fight.
