Details: Hesitation crossover + Dead/Kill dribble to gather + Two steps + Same-sided leg and hand layup
Recommendation / Suggestion: For footwork purposes, work on getting that gather foot down before actually gathering the ball. Taking two steps after the gather is only legal in the FIBA and NBA, but it’s still illegal to gather before that foot goes down because then that would be three steps. Refs hardly catch it in real time since it happens so quickly, but just a little detail to work on foot speed and keeping it honest.
If you want to legally do a version of this move on the other levels, just take one step after the gather instead of two. In this example, I would jump off of my left leg instead of taking another step after.
