When I walk the streets of the Netherlands, I fall in love with passing girls. They attract with an interesting appearance, which reads individuality, character, charisma😍

In Sevastopol, I constantly had problems finding a muse for inspiration. The girls look the same, as if they are hiding their natural beauty on purpose. They adjust their appearance to modern Russian standards of female beauty, becoming "all the same."

🌠🌠🌠I feel like a good portrait painter, because I can convey the depth of a person's soul in my paintings. But how hard it is to find a person who will inspire! I had to look for interesting girls on the Internet. Write to them that I am an artist and offer them to participate in the project. I sent sketches, talked about the idea of the painting and our photography, and, oddly enough, they always answered me with consent!

And now I am writing to You😉

During the five months that I have been living in the Netherlands, I have accumulated a huge number of sketches for which I need nature. I periodically look for some sources on the Internet, but I understand that I have outgrown this stage a long time ago. I have been working in the art industry for quite some time now, and I know that there is no PERFECTLY suitable image on the Internet.

And in the Netherlands I just go out and see amazing girls. 🧡💛🧡They are all incredible, each has its own charm, mood, charm. And at this moment inspiration, idea is born, and sometimes the complete image of the picture appears. It is always difficult for an artist to predict what will inspire him this time. But it is precisely this mystery and a sudden spark that gives birth to future paintings.

🙏At the moment, I already have an agreement with one beautiful girl for photography and sketching. But I am looking for models for my other paintings.

🧡💛🧡Again, a magical interior design by featuring my painting.

The abstraction "Mercury" is made using the technique of alcohol ink.

☘️The work is sold, but there are many suitable solutions in stock for your interiors. You can see the paintings and make an order on the website☘️
🌻It was here that I finally felt that I could be myself. And you've seen these changes. I made a haircut that I would never allow myself to do at home. And I heard a million compliments. For the sake of curiosity, I did a survey in a group on the Russian platform Vkontakte. 600 people voted that this hairstyle does not suit me, and only 200 subscribers supported the new image. 😉Why? Because for the Russian audience there is a certain canon of beauty, and my curly hair does not fit into it.

In Russia, I have always tried to smooth out naughty curls, do styling so that the hair would lie as even as possible, not stick out. In the Netherlands, on the contrary, I want my hair to look as free as possible - to be fluffy, stick out, be as it is. I want and can be myself💛🧡

🌺I feel free, liberated. I feel that I can not wear makeup at all or, on the contrary, do crazy makeup for some image, and no one will look at me judgingly. Everyone will smile back at me, feeling my happiness.

Now it is important for me that my creative path goes harmoniously. I'm not putting pressure on myself. I understand that it takes a lot of time to acclimatize and get used to a new country. And I give myself this time. I want to create deliberately. I want to feel how my creativity changes depending on the territory when I move, from work breaks, from changes in my worldview. I enjoy it and thank the people who walk this path with me, support even from a distance. I appreciate it, love you and move on.

About appearance. Part 2/2

Let's leave here the memories of the beautiful autumn in Rotterdam🧡💛💚
🥰I love that in the Netherlands you can be yourself and not bother with your appearance❤❤❤ Here are other standards of beauty. In Russia, now the most beautiful girl usually looks like this: blonde long straight hair, gorgeous eyelashes (even if they are extended), shaped eyebrows (even if it is a tattoo), full lips, an even complexion and an emphasis on the cheekbones, a tight dress that emphasizes the figure.

In the Netherlands, I have not seen a single girl with eyelash extensions. I have not seen a single girl with artificially enlarged lips. None at all.😮 For all 5 months that I have been living here.

There is no rush for manicure and pedicure services. No one runs to the master every 3 weeks and chooses a new nail design. People walk with simple nails. Imagine this is possible. You can just live with your healthy, unpainted nails.

Two years ago I came here to the director of a wall painting firm. It was a girl. She was 35 years old. She was lovely. 🧡She had no fluffy eyelashes, no drawn eyebrows, no bright nails. And most importantly, she had gray hair, it was not even tinted. They just were what they were - long, clean, combed hair. As an artist, I understand what beauty is. And I saw a handsome man in front of me.

🌺🌺Personally, I am tired of identical faces, as if they were made from a carbon copy. I like a different beauty. I really admired that girl. But in Russia she would have been condemned for her simplicity of appearance, for unpainted gray hair. It's not so difficult, why age yourself, are you young? But in the Netherlands, it's okay to look like that. Here, no one evaluates you by external data. Only your skills, character, how much benefit you will bring to society are important. You can be whatever you want and look whatever you want. Nobody will judge you.🌸

🧡🧡I am pleased that people trust me even at a distance, choosing my work for the implementation of their projects.

In the summer, Marina Reznik wrote to me. 🙏She wanted to see the paintings, but I was already in Rotterdam. Then she came to Sevastopol, where my father, Vladimir Nikolaevich Olkhov, met her and showed her my finished works in the workshop. This is how the three paintings found their new home - stylish and modern.

Not all of my work is on social media😉 I do not have time to photograph and upload them. The same happened with these pictures. They were created, but no one saw them on the Internet. But it was they who liked Marina. And now I can see with you how my works fit into the interior. I love. And you?
Dinosaur evening sketch time🦖🦕
🌠We now live in Rotterdam, ten minutes by metro from the city center. This is the perfect option for us. My young man is very socially active, he wants to be in a crowd of people, where it is noisy and there is always something interesting happening. I like solitude and tranquility more. Therefore, for the location of the apartment, we chose the middle option: not the very center, but not the village either.

There are many small shops and several large supermarkets nearby. The most important thing is that there is a subway two minutes from us. And from there you can get to anywhere in the city. In Rotterdam, bicycles have a special place in the way of transportation. We also have them, and they allow you to get from home to the center in about 20 minutes👍

The apartment itself is large and comfortable. I showed it in stories and posts. Its area is 90 square meters and it has 5 rooms. There is a living room, a dining room, a bedroom, a young man's study and, of course, my workshop.🤤

My room, 5 by 5 square meters, contains everything I need for work and creativity. Over time, I will make it more interesting so that it reflects my inner world. Now there is minimalism in it, I hid everything in closets, and I am very comfortable in this space. I want all the changes in the arrangement of the workshop to take place harmoniously, and the room itself changes and adapts to my work.

I really hope that in this house we will live happily for a whole year and will have a positive time. 🥰By the way, the neighbors are noisy here too)) 😅
This is not Photoshop, as many might think 😉 This is an amazing implementation from designer Marina Reznik.

selected works for her project and settled on my paintings. It was summer. And finally there were photos. I share them with you.

Painting "Summer. Heat" sold.
You, probably, have already managed to get confused in all my workshops, apartments, houses, views from the window. I myself am a little surprised, because during these five months in the Netherlands we have already changed three houses and are now settling in the fourth.

For those who do not know, I moved to the Netherlands to live with a young man. We are both from Sevastopol, our relationship is already 7 years old. I arrived when a young man lived in an apartment that only singles can rent. I could not register there, draw up documents and become a full-fledged member of society.

👉We moved in a month.👉

Lee Towers, 21st floor. There was a stunningly beautiful view from the window. I fell in love with him at first sight. The bonus included a free gym for all residents, an observation deck, a sauna, a chat room. There was a park nearby, an alley with many shops. Living there was really cool. But we didn’t have good relations with our neighbors from above, who had parties every evening. After another scandal, we decided to move out. We had to pay the fine for leaving ahead of time, but the conflict with the neighbors took too much energy.

👉And we moved.👉

Now it was a house not in the very center of Rotterdam, but within the city. Rosenburg. I would call it a calm village for the native Dutch people. These are very cool guys. They always smile at you.

Rosenburg is very comfortable. I have calmed down here. This place gave me the feeling that I have nowhere to rush, the world will wait. I learned to speak English without panic, stopped being afraid to say hello to people on the street. It was strange at first, but cool.

Our house had five rooms. And of course, we have allocated one for my work. I would really like to live in the center of Rotterdam, find a workshop there and get to my paintings in a matter of minutes. Although the workshop in the house suits me too, it is convenient. Any option suits me, I'm happy with everything. And I even like moving.

We lived in Rosenburg for two months, but the term of the contract came to an end, and we began to look for a new place.

👉We found a new home and moved in.👉
