Lo más enriquecedor de este tipo de experiencias es debatir, compartir experiencias. Los alumnos y alumnas me han hablado de sus pueblos, de su patrimonio... y yo les he hablado de mi experiencia en la cultura, el patrimonio, el trabajo.

Hablo de ruinas y del patrimonio (sobre todo extremeño) por pura convicción. Hace mucho tiempo que me di cuenta de la problemática del abandono del patrimonio y decidí hablar sobre ello, catalogarlo, mostrárselo al mundo, con sus cosas buenas y sus cosas malas.
Muchas veces me preguntan dos cosas. La primera es porque no hablo de otros temas, solo de patrimonio. Bien, esas es sencilla. Hablo de lo que conozco, de lo que respiro y de lo que estudio y lo hago con fuerza y con pasión.
La segunda es porque no estoy super activo en redes sociales. Esa también es sencilla. El primer motivo es que felizmente no paro nunca de trabajar. Arte en Ruinas nació en 2016, casi a la vez que creamos Wazo Coop, nuestra maravillosa cooperativa en la que afortunadamente hemos logrado metas que ni nos imaginábamos. No paramos de trabajar, desarrollamos una gran cantidad deproyectos (algunos de ellos también ligados al patrimonio) y trabajamos mucho a nivel internacional.
El segundo motivo es el mismo de antes, sólo hablo de lo que conozco y eso limita las horas delante de las redes.
En definitiva, mil gracias por el continuo apoyo y le doy una calurosa bienvenida a la gente que llegáis a Arte en Ruinas.
Seguiré trabajando duro por nuestro patrimonio y por Extremadura.

Las tres Conferencias/ concierto que hemos realizado con han sido una de las experiencias más brutales que he podido vivir. Hablar sobre patrimonio en tres lugares tan importantes, sintiéndonos tan arropados... No tiene precio.
También ha venido de una manera muy discreta otra gran noticia que pronto anunciaré más profundamente en stories, y no es otra que la segunda edición del libro "Arte en Ruinas. Guía del patrimonio olvidado de Extremadura.

Seguimos recorriendo el norte de la provincia de Cáceres para conocer un edificio que, podríamos tomar como ejemplo y máximo exponente del arte en ruinas de Extremadura.
A pesar de que en 2020 surgieron buenas noticias sobre su futuro, la pandemia ha vuelto a dejar al edificio en una especie de limbo.
