This class of Year 1 students have finished their 'Mummy and Me' portraits ready for their Mothers Day assembly item. I had to post all of the finished ones as every single one makes my heart sing!
We began with a directed drawing. I drew step by step and the kids followed along. They traced their pencil lines with permanent marker and coloured with the Colour Slicks. I love that there is a pack of Skintones! Background was painted with edicol dye and then out came the accessories!! Don't we love gluing on all the cute bits and pieces! Finally, they traced over the black lines again to neaten them up.

Today, I consolidated the felt scraps boxes. I had 5! We've been picking through the scraps for a few years and now I'm throwing them out.
